HEALED
"I have something to tell you" I said then I looked at her angelic yet emotionless face.
She's my bestfriend since gradeschool,and the coldest person i've ever known.
Actually, she's not that kind of person before. She's clingy, sweet and the most talkative person, not until the most painful thing in her life happened.
She found out that she's an adopted child, the same day she caught her boyfriend having an affair with her bestfriend.
"Go on" she said using her cold and emotionless voice.
"I-i dont know how to say it, i dont even know when was the exact day that i knew it, i just--"
"Can you just go straight to the point?" she cut me off.
"Uhm... U-uh...I-i"
"Why are you stuttering? Can you stop that"
"Uh kase--"
"Are you gonna die? Tell it now,baka maubusan ka pa ng oras"
"Ofcourse not!"
"Then tell it, you're makin' me nervous"
"You feel nervous?" i ask.
"I'm not numb as that, bitch"she rolled her eyes "Stop saying those unappropriate words and just tell me that 'something' you want to say"
"I...I like you" i said.
She looked at me, shocked. Her eyes widened.
"Lasing ka ba?" she ask.
"You think I am?" i ask her back.
She didn't speak.
"I like you. No, i love you" i said
"Can you just keep that feeling?" she ask then sighed.
"Why?" I ask while my heart was hurting.
"You know the reason" she answered, pain is on her voice
"Bakit hindi nalang ako?" I ask, my eyes become teary.
"You're the only person I have, and the only person i trust. I dont want to lose you just because of an unsure feelings" she said then she looked at the starry sky.
"I love you" I surely said.
"Im not reffering to you, I'm reffering to myself" she said.
"What...do you mean?" i ask, confused.
"I have a feelings for you, I'm attracted by you I think" she answered "But I'm not sure about it"
My tears fell "That's why I'm asking you to keep that feelings you have for me. Ayokong maging rason yan para masira kung ano man ang meron tayo ngayon, can you do that for me? Hmm?" she added.
"If you have that feelings for me then why dont you just let that grow?" I ask
"I told you, I'm not sure about it"she answered.
"Do you still love him?" i ask, reffering to her ex.
She nod.
"Please, ako nalang. I'll help you to heal, just please choose me. Kahit ngayon lang" i beg.
"No. If i want to heal, I'll heal by myself. I dont want to use another
person for my own sake and own good. Specially you, you're too precious for me and i dont want to hurt you. Ayos na saakin yung nandyan ka bilang kaibigan ko, ayaw kong gamitin ka" she uttered.
"It's okay for me, if by doing this can make you feel better. Why not? Besides, baka matutunan mo rin akong mahalin" i said, still begging.
"Do not under estimate your worth,you're the best person i'd ever known,kahit ako kaya kitang mahalin ng kusa at hindi pinipilit. Sadyang naunahan ka lang" she said.
I painfully released a sigh.
"Kung ano man ang nararamdaman ko para sayo, papanatilihin ko muna ito sa ganitong sitwasyon"she added
"Choose me, please"
"I cant"
"W-why?"
"The feelings i have for him was million times stronger than the feelings i have for you, I'm sorry" she answered.
That breaks me.
"But dont worry. When Im totally healed, pag handa na ulit akong buksan ang puso ko para sa ibang tao at ibang pag-ibig, ikaw ang unang-una kong pupuntahan"
"DO YOU take this man to be your husband in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer. And promise to love and honor him?" the priest ask
I looked at her "I do" she said then smiled
"Do you take this woman to be your beloved wife, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer. And promise to love her?"
"I do" i mouthed then smile.
"I do" the man infront of her said.
I still remember the night that he ask you to comeback and the night that you said yes.
I am so happy, for the both of you.
