Meredith sighed as she tied back her hair and fixed her work apron. It was 6:30 pm in the evening and there was barely anyone in the small coffee shop that she worked in, which was situated in downtown Altamonte Springs, Florida.

"You good, Meredith?" Her coworker, Sara asked. Meredith nodded. "Yeah. Just a bit tired. I was talking to Leah for a while last night. It was our last phone call whilst she was in Ireland." She explained.

Sara nodded with a smile. "She's your friend from Ireland, right?" She asked and Meredith nodded with a small smile at the thought of her best friend who was more than likely currently an official citizen of the USA. It was almost exciting to think about. Granted, Leah was still a couple of states away but I was better than nothing.

"You can go home if you want, and I'll close up shop. It doesn't look like There's be much more customers rolling in." Meredith said. Sara thought for a moment. "Are you sure?" She asked and Meredith nodded.

"Yeah, I got keys. Go ahead." She said and Sara smiled before hugging her. "You're the best. I'll chat you on Wednesday?" She said as she went to the back room and took off her apron, hanging it up. Meredth nodded.

"Yeah, of course." She said. The two said their goodbyes and Sara left. Meredith took this opportunity to change the radio station to a local rock and metal station and she listened and sang along to what she knew as she began to clean up the cafe.

About a half an hour later, the bell above the cafe door chimed. Meredith turned around to see a group of four boys walk in and sit in one of the booths on the far side of the cafe. Meredith fixed her apron and hair again before grabbing four menus and walking towards them. She plastered on a smile as she came near them and set down the menus.

"Hey boys." She said and they all looked up at her, chorusing a mixture of "Hi!"'s and "Hey!"'s. She noticed one of them- with particularly curly hair and hazel eyes smile at her. He had a really nice smile. "How are you?" He asked and she nodded as she began to pass out the menus.

"I'm good, how are you?" She asked and he nodded. "Great, thank you." He said. "It's our boy, Chucks birthday!" One of the boys said as he slapped Chuck hard on the back.

Meredith watched as Chuck grimaced in pain but attempted to smile through it as he mouthed the words "help me." At her.

Meredith laughed. "Blink twice if you need assistance." She joked and Chuck began to blink rapidly, causing her to laugh again.

"You're Chuck Schuldiner, right?" Meredith asked and Chuck nodded. "How'd you know?" He asked. "I follow your band, Mantas. You guys are hella cool." She said and Chuck smiled widely. He really did have a beautiful smile.

"Th-... That's so fucking cool, oh my God." He said, almost flabbergasted.

"OoOoOohH." Chucks friends laughed as Chuck burned a bright red and rolled his eyes and Meredith raised an eyebrow at them.

"See, in Chucks cute little fantasy world, the words "That's so fucking cool, oh my God." Mean "holy shit fuck, marry me now."" One of the friends said and the rest of the group.

"Uh huh... interesting, well on that informative note, I'm gonna leave you guys to it and I'll be back in a few minutes to take your orders." Meredith said and she walked away.
