They'd made it round the back of the church. That was until a gunshot went off what felt like it was right next to them and made Beca jump. Although she likes to tell people she's a badass, there's a difference between a badass and someone who's not scared of people with guns, and certainly right now, Beca knew if someone she knew was with them, they would laugh.

Stacie held Beca's hand as they were getting ready to go into the trees. Getting her attention, she gave Beca a nod and pointed where to go, she held out five fingers to say that in five seconds they were running, it looked like it was only fifty yards, but it was partially dark which was good. If it was any lighter, then they would've been seen by now for sure.

As they were about the run, they heard screaming from right behind them, followed by screaming.

"Please, don't hurt me! Please!"

"SHUT UP"

"What have I done to you, Derek? I just wanted to go home and instead we're out here. Please, let me go home."

"Oh, shut the fuck up Frances!"

A gun shot was heard from the other direction.

"You mean what you said? You wanted to go home?"

"Yes, he forced me out. Please, don't hurt me, please. I just want to go home."

"Out of everyone you can see tonight, I'm one of the few that won't hurt you. I know what it's like being forced out here. Get back safely."

"I will, thank you?"

"Lily, Lily Onakuramara."

"Thank you, thank you."

Until Stacie knew the coast was clear, they stayed hidden round the back of the church before moving. Once she saw a figure head towards the town, she knew that was the cue to head to the trees ahead. She put a finger to her mouth to say 'quiet' and grabbed Beca's hand so that they could move.

Finally making it to the other side of the road and in the woods, Beca had calmed down slightly. The woods were completely dark, no one could see them, and they knew where to go from there, just straight down the edge through the trees and they would be there. Following the tree line, even though it was dark, and they couldn't be seen, they saw the lights in the town and could hear every noise possible except the sound of cars. It was nearing 8pm and everyone would be in the towns by now. Stacie was constantly checking and looking over at Beca the whole time and never released the girl's hand. They checked the phone that Chloe had been contacting them one more time to check that they were still in the same place, which they were. Before moving, Beca turned the brightness down as much as she could.

They'd not heard from Chloe since she first arrived which was both a blessing and a curse, they had no idea if she was okay or not. But because Chloe had said not to text they didn't. The girls didn't know what kind of danger Chloe was in or anything, but knowing that she was just across the woods was a good sign.

Going through the trees even more, they were nearing a small little container that was in the middle of the woods, which wasn't good. They didn't expect to see that and if someone was around there, they had to be so quiet so that they weren't seen. As they got nearer to it by walking past, no one was around which was a relief to the pair.

However, what happened next wasn't good. A piercing scream echoed through the woodland area and Beca knew that scream anywhere.

"CHLOE!" She screamed, running in the direction it came from.
