"who the hell are you staring at?" victoria questioned as she nudged ariana with her shoulder. the two girls stood in the hallway, victoria trying to tell her about this party and ariana not listening to a word her best friend is saying. her mind and her eyes in a whole other world, that world being y/n.

the girl walked down the hall with her head up and her headphones in. she wore a black shirt that showcased her tattoos with black sweats and her beat up black converse. she sorta looked like she was going to a funeral—but she looked good doing it.

y/n stopped at her locker diagonal from ariana's, the small italian's eyes still lingering on her backside. she shuffled around in her locker before shutting it gently and walking away again to her next class.

ariana sighed. her crush looked so weak. the arm not holding her things hing loosely at her side, almost like it was too heavy for the girl to hold up. her feet practically shuffled on the school hallways until she realized what she was doing and picked them up. the—

"yo! ariana, damn! i'm talking to you!" victoria snapped in the small girls face and shoved her harder. ariana yelped and held the arm victoria had abused, "ow." she whined.

"are you seriously looking at y/n again?" ariana blushed at her friends words. yeah, she sure was.

"u-um. no. no! why would you even ask that?" ariana nervously denied.

victoria knew about ariana's crush on the mysterious girl because she never shut up about her.

"oh my god, victoria! did you see y/n today?!"

yes. yes she saw.

victoria scoffed and tilted her head, "you need to stop being a goddamn pussy. either woman up and talk to her or get over her. i'm tired of your yapping about her. how long has it been anyways?"

ariana blushed once again. it's been way, way too long.

"haha, 5 years?" ariana asked more the stated. victoria's eyes widened and her jaw dropped.

"5 years?! holy shit ariana." ariana sighed deeply at her friends words. she knows. she knows 5 years is a long ass time but she just needed to know. she needed to know where that bright and goofy smile went, where that carefree girl from 7th grade went. where did she go?

"i know. can we please move on though? what were you trying to tell me about?" ariana changed the subject.

victoria groaned and gave ariana a pointed look that said, "this conversation ain't over yet."

"i was saying that justin is throwing a party tonight and i want you to come with me." ariana's best friend smiled at her, pleading.

"ugh, tori! i don't like parties, you know that!" ariana groaned and childishly stomped her foot. last time ariana went to a party it did not end well. some dude tried to dance with her, and unfortunately for him, ariana had too much to drink and threw up all over him.

victoria whined, "oh come on! it's justin's party so you know what that means....?" victoria wiggled her shoulders and bit her lip.
