Alister never planned on bringing a boy to his flat. Correction, he never

planned on bringing anyone to his flat, EVER. But certainly not a boy. Yet here they were, Alister and Deion inside his flat.

Alister sits leaning his head back against the brick wall in the corner of the room. His arms resting on both his knees, his face inside his hands. He can hear Deion pacing the length of the small flat in the background of his mental breakdown.

"OH MY GOD, CAN YOU JUST SIT DOWN?!" Alister shouts, raising his head to eye level with Deion who stands with a sketchbook in his hands at the other end of the flat.

"Why.. Why do you have my sketchbook?" Alister whispers with evident struggle.

"I don't know.. I just found it," Deion says as he flips through the pages.

"You just found it?" Alister asks and Deion raises his head from the book and nods once, slowly.

"Yes?" Deion responds nervously.

"That was hidden underneath a pile of other books on my desk, I highly doubt the fact that you just found it," Alister replies, running his hands over his face and glaring at the wall.

"Well... yeah, I have no explanation for that, sorry," Deion responds, closing the sketchbook and setting it back on the desk.

Alister scoffs and rakes a hand through his now sweaty hair.

"Well, what did you think?" Alister asks and Deion's eyebrows raise in surprise. Either from the question or the fact that Alister is still attempting to make conversation... Or both.

"They were pretty amazing, man," Deion says and Alister tilts his head to the side and quirks an eyebrow at him.

"I'm serious, those sketches are no joke," Deion states defensively and looks around the flat.

"Did you paint all of these too?" He asks and Alister waits a minute before slowly nodding his head.

"Yeah," Alister says and swallows nervously. "Yeah, I did," He affirms again.

"They're fucking good, man," Deion enthusiastically and Alister laughs weakly.

"Thanks," He replies, and Deion nods.

"And thanks for not leaving me on the side of the road as I told you to," He says slowly and Deion cracks a grin.

"Hell, I would've left my own ass out there," Alister mutters and Deion crouches on the floor beside him.

"I was thinking about it," Deion says.

"No you weren't," Alister replies with a soft shake of his head.

"Yeah I guess I wasn't, I mean who else am I going to annoy for the next... twenty hours?" Deion says after checking his watch for the fifth time.

"Right," Alister whispers and they both slip into a comfortable silence for a little while longer.
