"Alister!" Deion shouts as Alister runs out the front doors of the hospital. Alister runs back to the car and rests his head in his arms against the side of the driver's door.

"Alister, baby," Deion says once he is standing right behind him. Alister groans but doesn't turn to look back at the green eyed boy standing behind him.

"Alister," Deion says again and this time Alister turns around.

"You can't say things like that, Deion. Ever," Alister snaps and Deion's eyes widen.

"Why not?" He asks and Alister shakes his head.

"Nothing, forget it, just don't say that shit again," Alister replies before turning to open the front door.

"And I asked why not," Deion says as he grabs Alister's arm and pulls him back.

Alister slams the car door and whirls around.

"Because it's fucking stupid to believe this could be anything more than twenty four hours," Alister shouts as rain begins to pour down, soaking them both through their clothes.

"You think it's stupid to think we could be together?" Deion asks, his eyes narrowing into a glare, clearly hurt by Alister's words.

"Alister!" Deion shouts after Alister doesn't answer. Alister groans and tugs at the roots of his hair.

"No!" Alister screams back and Deion's eyes widen and then narrow. "I don't know," Alister says again, pulling at his hair.

"Well then fucking figure it out," Deion shouts and Alister shakes his head violently. He shakes his head, and yanks at his hair. When that doesn't provide the release he is looking for, his hand flies into the brick wall beside them. Alister screams out as the bones in his hand crack and blood begins to drip down his knuckles. Deion's eyes widened at the sight before him. He hasn't seen this side of Alister yet, and Alister hoped he never would have to. He hoped this would only last twenty four hours, he hoped he wouldn't enjoy it as much as he did. He hoped Deion would never have to experience the full extent of his own insanity.

"Just... just leave, Deion," Alister mutters weakly as he cradles his broken hand in his arm.

"No," Deion replies and Alister turns around to glare at him.

"Oh come on, come ON, what time is it?" Alister shouts as he grasps Deion's wrist with one hand to check the watch.

"Oh, fuck the time, Alister!" Deion shouts as he unbuckles the watch from his wrist and throws it into the street.

"I don't give a damn what time it is, Baby. I'm not leaving you," Deion yells. "Not tonight, not tomorrow, not the next day," Deion says glaring into the street. "I won't leave until you look me in the eyes and tell me you don't want me to stay," Deion says and turns back to look at Alister.

"Deion," Alister groans in a low tortured voice.

"I want to hear it," Deion says more forcefully.

"I," Alister says, taking a step forward.

"Don't,"

"Want,"

"You,"

"To,"

"St..." Alister begins the last word, now standing less than a foot away from Deion.

"Fuck," Alister groans and in an instant grabs Deion by the front of his jacket and presses his lips against Deion's.

"I don't want you to see me like this," Alister whispers after pulling away from deepening the kiss.

"I don't want you to know this side of me," Alister says and Deion makes a strangled noise.

"Well that's going to be a problem, because I want to know every side of you, every part of you, for the rest of our lives," Deion says and Alister stares into his eyes.

"I want to know the beautiful parts of you, I want to know the ugly parts of you. I want to know your stories, and I want to know your secrets. I want to be the one you turn to when you're experiencing a low, and I want to be the one who you smile at first when you're experiencing a high. I want to be the one you turn to, always. I want to be the one you love,"

"Because, I love you, Alister Monarch," Deion finishes and Alister remains silent. He remains silent so long Deion fears he fucked up big time. And then, just when he is about to say something incredibly stupid...

"Well alright then, you're stuck with me, because I love you too," Alister replies and kisses Deion again.

In that moment, something truly miraculous happens. The storm lets up, the rain subsides, and the sun shines through.
