We walked a bit and then I started "Nate can you do me a favour?" He nodded so I continued gulping. Its hard to speak about it but I have to. "Please take care of her for me." He stopped and stared at me. "If you will let me. Then I wouldn't hesitate." , "Huh?" I too stopped and looked at him confused because I don't understand what that means.
"I will look after her when your pendant will turn black." He pointed at it. "What do you mean?" I asked confused. "Arthur you know. You're so confident about so many things magic, fighting, wits. You're so confident in all of them because you're good at them. I always envy you for that. And there is one more thing I envy you the most. Y/n's love." He said and looked at me expecting a answer.
"Y/n likes you Nate. I've seen it. You both too get along pretty well. If you don't believe just see you're pendant. It's shows her feelings. " I said a bit annoyed since whatever he is saying was just making me feel more guilty.
He chuckled and said "True. If you don't believe look at you're pendant. Unlike our mana core its opposite. The dark the colour the deeper her feeling are Arthur. Yeah She likes me but she loves you..... So I'll wait till that red colour change to black. Black doesn't mean hate it just means that she buried her feelings just for you." He said.
I just stare at the ground below me. I just couldn't say anything. I am speechless. Is this really true?
"Are you sure you not putting on a mask and pretend you're happy or unaffected by anything? Are you sure you're in love with tess or just using her to forget y/n? Even now you are feeling guilty. Some mixed emotions. Aren't you being a immature one Arthur? The day we heard you accept Tessia request that day y/n confessed her love for you and rejected me. She is willing to endure the ache of not having her feelings reciprocated. All she wants is your happiness." He stated and started to walk.
I stopped him and asked "Why are you telling me this? If you wanted y/n then you would have waited till still buried my feelings and it would have been easy for you to get her love."
"Ofcourse I would have done that. But you see i asked Rinia about it. She said "if the fated pair were to get separate then it will damage both of them." And I can't see y/n keeping her mask. Her fake smile which she wear everyday." He had a small outburst. I have never seen him like that.
