CHAPTER 5

"Tell me, kitten, who provided you the address that belongs to me?" Taehyung inquired while they were eating pancakes.

"My father, well, Mr. Park handed it to me, and he said I'd come here." Jimin responded to him.

"Mr. Park, what's up? Why are you referring to him as that?" Taehyung interrogates him

"He dislikes it when I call him dad," he said, a pained expression on his face.

"Oh, kitten, I'm sure he didn't mean it" Taehyung attempted to cheer him up after noticing his gloomy expression.

"If he didn't mean it, why would he lock me in my room and beat me every time he gets drunk? He's been abusive to me ever since my mother died as a result of saving me from that truck?" Jimin stated that he was crying uncontrollably. Taehyung hurried over to Jimin's side, pulling him into his lap and whispering loving words into his ears.

"He locked me up until I was 19 now, and it was my first time going outdoors since he gave me your address," Jimin stated to Taehyung as he clutched Taehyung's shirt tightly.

"Shh shh don't cry now kitten," Taehyung whispered quietly as he rubbed his hands against Jimin's back.

"How could that old man do that to my Jimin!" Taehyung thought angrily, his eyes filled with the rage that everyone is afraid of, and he had this eerie smile on his face that easily frightens everyone.

Taehyung is debating whether or not to tell Jimin why he is here after Jimin calms down. After debating, he decides to tell him the truth.

"Do you understand why you're here, Jimin?" Taehyung inquired of Jimin, who was staring at him with watery eyes, and Jimin simply shrugged his shoulders in response.

After receiving the response, he smirked to himself and added, "Well, your father borrowed money from me, and because he didn't pay the debt, he chose to give you to me as a payment kitten."

Jimin was taken aback by Taehyung's announcement, and he began to cry again while saying no to him. He was taken aback as to why his father would do such a thing to him. He understands that his father is upset with him, but this is excessive.

As he sprang up from his lap and moved away from Taehyung, he shook his head fiercely.

"No, that's not true!" Jimin screamed and whimpered as Taehyung approached him carefully.

"Oh kitten, I wish it weren't true, but look where you are, you're at my house because your father gave you to me as a payment," he added, cornering Jimin against the wall and gripping his hand.

"No, please let me go! I'm not happy to be here." Jimin screamed as tears streamed down his cheeks as he tried to flee Taehyung's grip on his wrist.

Taehyung was enraged with Jimin that he yelled at him, but he kept his cool so as not to damage the boy; he couldn't hurt his Jimin. He can't hurt him from the moment he sees him in the alley with a cat.

"Jimin, kitten, listen up, I'm not going to hurt you or lock you up, okay? I'm not like your father; I'll protect you, but I'm delighted you're here and not at your father's place. Jimin, I'm going to defend you." Taehyung explained to the child who appeared broken that it hurt him and he didn't know why. As a result, he hugged him closely while soothing him.
