{THIRD PERSON POV}
Later that day, Evelyn was standing next to her locker with Mal and Evie when they saw Ben and Melanie walk out of her class with Chad Charming, son of Cinderella, and Audrey. Chad hits Ben's chest and points at Evie, Mal and Evelyn.
"Those kids are trouble," Chad told Ben as he looked at Evelyn's locker that they spray-painted a 'Long Live Evil' design on.
"Bye, sis. Bye, M," Evie told Evelyn and Mal before walking away.
"Bye, E," Evelyn and Mal told Evie before Evelyn turned back to her locker as Mal was looked through her spell book.
"Come on, Chad," Melanie said, "Give them a chance."
Audrey took his hands, "No offense, Benny-bear and Lannie-bear, but you're just too trusting. Look, I know your mom fell in love with a big nasty beast who turned out to be a prince but, with my mom the evil fairy was just the evil fairy. One of those two mothers!" Audrey nudged her head to Mal, "And Lannie-bear, that girl's mother poisoned your mom!"
"We think you're wrong about them," Ben told them with a shrug, "I'll see you later."
Audrey shook her head and walked away with Chad following her. Melanie started approaching Evelyn as Ben started to approach Mal, who was at the balcony. Evelyn closed her locker just in time to see Melanie lean on the lockers next to her's.
"Hey," Melanie told her.
"Hey," Evelyn said confused, on why she's talking to her.
"How was your first day?" Melanie asked her.
"Super," Evelyn told her.
"How are you finding Auradon so far?" Melanie asked.
"Amazing," Evelyn said with an excited smile, "It's been my dream to be here and attend school and find true love," Evelyn paused for a moment, "Although, there is one thing I was not expecting when I came here..." Melanie hummed in confusion. Evelyn stepped closer to Melanie, causing Melanie to take a sharp intake as Evelyn put a strand on her hair behind Melanie's ear, "...is for me to find the most fairest princess of all in my mother's enemy's daughter. But, I'm not complaining," Evelyn smirked as Melanie blushed really red.
Melanie looked down, blushing red, chuckling nervously. A hand to her chin came and brought her face up to look at Evelyn's eyes. Melanie's eyes fluttered a little as she stared into Evelyn's eyes.
"Are you the fairest princess of them all, Melanie?" Evelyn asked, voice raspy as Melanie gulped, her mouth opening to answer but before she could, Evelyn stepped away with a smirk. Melanie blinked, snapping out of a daze. Melanie looked at Evelyn, who was smiling at her, causing her to blush red.
Just then Jane happened to walk past them. She squeaked when Evelyn looked at her. Evelyn then saw Mal wink at her before turning to Ben, telling him something with a smile before she followed Jane.
Evelyn turned to look at Melanie, "I'll see you later," Evelyn smiled at her as she winked at her before following Jane and Mal.
Melanie watched her go, "Huh," she said as she leaned her back against the lockers. Something about that smile made Melanie have butterflies in her stomach and her cheeks blush a soft, pink, leaving a giddy feeling in her stomach.

Mal and Evelyn walked into the girl's bathroom and saw Jane standing in the mirror, checking her hair. Jane's eyes widened once she saw Mal and Evelyn standing behind her.
"Hi," Mal said, smiling as Jane turned around to face her, "It's Jane, right?"
"Ah, I always loved that name, Jane," Evelyn said with a smile.
"That's cool," Jane muttered as she started to leave.
"Don't go!" Mal shouted, blocking her path. Jane stopped, terrified, "I guess, we were just hoping to make a friend," Mal said in fake sadness.
"Yeah, you probably have all the friends you need though, huh?" Evelyn said with a frown.
"Hardly," Jane muttered.
"Really?" Evelyn asked in a fake surprise, "I mean, with your mom being Fairy Godmother and Headmistress?"
"And, I mean, not to mention your own... personality," Mal added, softly. Evelyn hoped that it didn't sound that mean.
"I'd rather be pretty!" Jane told her, "You've both got great hair!"
"You know what?" Evelyn told Jane as she looked down at her hair, "We have just the thing for that!" Evelyn looked at Mal.
"Ah! Yes!" Mal showed Jane her spell book as she opened it, "It's right..." Mal flipped through the pages, "ah, here," she finally stopped at the right page as she smiled at Jane, "Beware, forswear, replace the old with a brand new hair," Mal read before she flicked her finger as Jane watched the sparks fly until they hit her in the face.
Jane was scared of what would happen. Suddenly when she looked in the mirror her short hair was replaced with long, curly hair. She looked at herself in the mirror, shocked.
"Wow!" Evelyn said as she stood next to Jane, "You almost don't notice your... other features!" She hoped that was nice enough.
Jane tapped the spell book, "Do my nose!"
"Oh, I can't," Mal told her, "I've been practicing but you know, I can't do really big magic. Not like your mom with her wand," she continued, "I mean, one swoosh from that thing and you could probably have whatever features you wanted."
"She doesn't use the wand anymore," Jane said, sadly, "She believes that real magic is in the books, and not the spell books. Regular books with history and stuff."
Evelyn scoffed at that, "What a rip."
"Yeah," Jane said, softly.
"You know, she used magic on Cinderella," Mal started, "Who wasn't even her own daughter. Doesn't she love you?" Mal asked, sadly.
"Well, of course, she does," Jane said, "It's-it's just you know, tough love. 'Work on the inside, not the outside'. That sort of thing."
"That's the face!" Evelyn pointed at Jane's sad face, "Yeah and it just look like your heart is about to break," she continued, "Oh, Mother, I just don't understand why you can't make me beautiful, too..." Evelyn imitated Jane.
"You think it would work?" Jane asked, hopeful.
"Yeah," Evelyn told Jane, "I mean, it worked for old Cindy, right? And your mom bibbidi-bobbidi-boo'd the living daylights out of her."
"And, hey! If your mom does decide to, you know, break out the old, invite us!" Mal told Jane as she sat on the counter.
"If I can convince my mom, you both are so there!" Jane told Mal and Evelyn with a big smile.
"Yay!" Mal and Evelyn cheered softly as she clapped.
"Bye!" Jane whispered before she left.
"Bye," Mal and Evelyn said, waving as they smirked to themselves and shared a victory high five.
