The next day, Melanie, Ben and Audrey were standing next to Ben's locker. They saw some girls sitting at a table, complimenting each other's hair. Evelyn walked out of her classroom, making her way to her locker.
"Hey, look, it's Evelyn!" One of the girls said as she pointed, causing the other girls to turn and look.
"Hey, Evelyn!" A girl called out.
"Tell Mal, I love my hair, Evelyn!" Another girl called out.
Evelyn jumped when she heard her name. She turned around and waved to the girls. Evelyn turned to open her locker as Jay just happened to lean on a locker next to Evelyn's locker.
"Aren't you feeling kinda weird about this?" Jay asked Evelyn as Evelyn looked at him, "I mean, it's not so bad here."
"Are you insane?" Evelyn asked Jay, "Remember, Long Live Evil! You're mean! You're awful! You're bad news!" She reminded Jay, "Snap out of it!" She said as she snapped her fingers in front of Jay's face.
Jay blinked, "Thanks, Eve! I needed that," he smiled.
Evelyn hummed, "Good. Also, you didn't hear this from me but those girls are hot as fuck," She whispered to him, titling her head towards the girls in the courtyard. Jay smirked at her, pretending to zip his mouth shut before he walked over to the railing to flirt with the girls in the courtyard.
Evelyn saw Melanie, Audrey and Ben standing next to Ben's locker.
"Did you think they actually paid for those?" Audrey asked Ben and Melanie, looking at a group of girls, "They did it to Jane's hair, too and Fairy Godmother is not happy about it."
"What's the harm?" Ben and Melanie asked, confused, laughing a little.
"It's gateway magic! Sure, it starts with the hair. Next thing you know, it's lips, and the legs and the clothes and everyone would look good and then... where will I be," Audrey ranted. Evelyn overheard what Audrey said, causing her to roll her eyes.
"Listen, Audrey-" Ben started but was cut off.
"I will see you at the game after my dress fitting for the coronation, okay?" Audrey told Ben.
"Okay," Ben said.
"Bye, Benny-boo," Audrey said, air kissing his cheek.
"Bye," Ben said as he watched Audrey walk away. Melanie patted his back with a comforting smile before Ben sighed and went over to the balcony.
