{THIRD PERSON POV}

"There you are!" Evelyn and Mal exclaimed when she and Mal got to where Evie was.

"We've been looking for you literally everywhere!" Evelyn continued as she put her hands down on the table while Mal stood in front of Doug.

"What's wrong?" Evie asked Evelyn and Mal, concerned.

"Well, Ben just asked me out on..." Mal let out a breath, "a date."

"And Mel might have also asked me on..." Evelyn looked around to see if someone was looking, "a date."

"Nice," Doug muttered as Evie laughed.

"We can handle this," Evie whispered to Evelyn and Mal before turning to Doug, "Bye," she said before standing up and walking away with Mal and Evelyn.

As they were walking, Evie was telling Mal and Evelyn to fix their hair and make up but they refused to.

First, Evie started with her sister since her date was earlier than Mal's. Now, Evelyn was sitting on her bed as Evie applied the finishing touches while Mal sat on Evie's bed, in front of them.

"Okay!" Evelyn said as she pushed Evie's hand away, "Easy on the blush. I don't want to scare her away. Not that I could."

"Please," Evie said as she applied more blush on Evelyn's face, "You know mom taught us how to apply blush before we both could even talk."

"Always upward strokes," Evelyn and Evie said in unison as Evie finished and set the brush down.

"My mom was never really big on makeup tips," Mal told Evie and Evelyn before Evie puts some lip gloss on Evelyn's lips, "I've never had sisters."

"Well, now you have us," Evie told Mal, "We're gonna need all the family we can get if we can't pull this off. Our mother's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way."

"Just ask Snow White," Evelyn added.

"Are you afraid of her?" Mal asked Evie and Evelyn.

"Sometimes," Evelyn admitted, "Are you afraid of your mother?"

"I just want her to be really proud of me. She gets so angry with me when I disappoint her," Mal told Evelyn and Evie, "And she-yeah, she's my mom, so I know she loves me...in her own way."

Evie and Evelyn nodded, understanding.

"Moving on, come see," Evie said to Evelyn, leading him to the mirror. Mal and Evie stood either side of Evelyn as Evelyn looked at herself in awe.
