Chapter 27 - Cameron

"Katherine Pierce," the nurse called out.

"Over here," I yelled and walked over to the nurse.

"Are you her brother or," the nurse asked and I cut her off.

"No, I'm her friend," I said.

"Is there any family members here that I could talk to?" She asked.

"Um, her brother," I said and walked over to Carter.

"So?" He asked.

"You need to pretend to be her brother," I said and he gave me a confused look. "Just do it," I said and dragged him over to the nurse.

"Ok, ok," he said. "Hi I'm Katherine's brother," he said and she nodded. "So how is she?" he asked.

"She's in a coma," she answered.

"Well, can we see her?" I asked.

"Only family members can visit today but you are welcome to come tomorrow," she smiled.

"No, I have to see her now!" I shouted.

"Cam dude, it's ok," Carter said holding me back and followed the nurse to Katherine's hospital room.

Katherine P.O.V
I woke up in a hospital waiting area. How the hell did I get here? Why a hospital?

"Move out of the way!" I heard someone yell and it was paramedics rushing someone on a gurney. I looked over at the person and she looked very familiar. Then I saw Cameron rush into the hospital with Ayo, Carter, and Natasha.

"Cam, what's going on?" I asked and he didn't even look at me.

"Is she going to be ok?" Cameron asked the nurse and she started to talk to him. "Um, her brother," said hesitantly and I cocked my head.

He walked away from the nurse and I caught up with him.

"Cam, who's hurt?" I said and he didn't answer me back. "Look, I understand if you're mad but," I said but he walked away. I groaned and followed him. He walked up to Carter and they were talking.

He dragged Carter over to the nurse and they were talking. I walked over to Natasha and Ayo.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" I asked but they didn't answer. "Hello?" I said waving my hand in their faces.

"No, I have to see her now!" I heard and I turned to see Cameron yelling at the nurse. Carter then walked away with the nurse and Cameron walked back over to the girls. I followed Carter and the nurse to a hospital room and saw me laying on the bed. What's going on? I'm very confused.

"Carter, what's going on?" I asked worried but he was just staring my body on the bed. "Am I dead?" I asked. Carter pulled a chair beside the bed and sat down next to my body.

"Please wake up," his voice cracked.

"Wake up? So I'm not dead?" I said to myself. This is like my favorite movie, where that girl got into an accident. She went into a coma and she could still hear things outside of her body. This is some crazy confused shit!

"I promise that me and Cameron won't fight anymore. We will give you all the time in the world, just please don't go," he cried. I wanted to hug him but I knew he couldn't feel it, from me anyways.

"Visiting hours are over. You may come back tomorrow though," the nurse said.

"No don't go, I can't stay here by myself," I said even though they can't here me.

"But I'm her brother, doesn't family get to stay with her," he asked and the nurse nodded and walked out. I smiled and stood next to my body.

"Wake up you little bitch," I told it. I shut my eyes and opened them trying to wake up but I couldn't.

I decided to just sit in the chair next to the window and fall asleep.

•Next Day
I woke up and saw everyone hanging around the hospital room.

"Hey guys," I said to them getting up from the chair and they didn't answer. "Right, you guys can't hear me," I said to myself.

"She needs to wake up," Nash said.

"I'm trying," I told him. I looked around and saw Cameron wasn't in the room. I walked out of the room and saw Cameron leaning against a wall, on the phone.

"Yeah she's stable for now," Cameron said into the phone. "I really want her to wake up too," he said. "Ok, she'll be waiting," he said again then hung up. He sighed before walking into the room again and I followed.

"Can I be alone with her?" He asked everyone and they nodded.

"I love you, and that's your cue to wake up," Ayo said snapping her fingers and I laughed.

"We haven't been friends for that long but I feel attached to you some how. Like we've known each other forever. Sorry I drugged you and Ayo. I love you. Now wake up you little bitch," she said and walked out with Ayo. I laughed again.

"I love you too," I chuckled and walked over to where Cameron was.

"Isn't it crazy how much could happen over a short period of time," Cameron chuckled grabbing my hand and I chuckled too, nodding.

"Please wake up, I don't care if you pick Carter anymore. Just please wake up," his voice cracked and I felt my heart break into a million pieces. "I know, it's too early to be crying like this," he laughed wiping his tears and I laughed with him.

"I love you Cameron," I said wishing he could hear me.

I saw a light in the corner and walked towards in. "No, not yet," I said and walked away. The heart monitor started to beat like crazy and nurses and doctors came rushing into the room. A doctor hurried Cameron out of the room.

That light came back and I was trying my best not to look at it. I ran out of the room and saw Cameron crying into Nash.

"Everything's going to be ok," Nash said rubbing circles into his back. I saw that same light in the corner and I walked away from it again.

"Where is she? Is my baby ok?" I heard and I turned around to see my mom.

"Mom," I mumbled.

"Katherine Pierce," the nurse called out once again.

"Yes, I'm her mother," mom said.

"She's in surgery, she swallowed a awful lot of pills. She might have to stay a week here," the nurse said.

"Will she be ok?" Mom asked.

Btw I have no idea what I am talking about😂 I'm probably wrong, so sorry😂

"We won't know until after surgery and if you come back tomorrow we will inform you," the nurse said.

"Thank you," mom said and walked back to the rest of the group.

"What's happening?" Carter asked.

"She's in surgery, we won't see her again till tomorrow," she explained and everyone groaned.

"Are you going to tell her about, you know?" Carter asked my mom.

"About what?" Cameron asked.

"It's about her father," mom said hesitantly.

My dad, why the fuck would she want to talk about my dad with my friends? I thought she wanted nothing to do with my father, since we moved.

"What about him?" Cameron asked.

My mom was about to explain but a figure walked towards my mom.

"Michael?" Carter asked.

"Yes, it's me Carter. It's good to see you again," he smiled.

"How could you say that to my face after what you did?" Carter snapped.

"Who is this?" Cameron asked. I looked at the rest of the group and they looked just as intrigued as I was.

"I'm Katherine's Father."
