Hawk is currently sitting inside the ballroom as the sun sets and the shattered moon hangs overhead. He sits near a lighted candle as he draws something inside his book. He tries to pay attention to his book as the other students get ready to sleep. Most are either chatting with other students or are getting changed. Hawk chose to get changed ahead of time to avoid the looks he might have received. Drawing in his book, he sees that someone has taken a seat next to the candle he was using. Looking over, he notices the faunus with the bow on her head, who seems to be reading a book he recognizes.
Faunus Girl: "I suppose you wouldn't mind if I used this?" Gesturing towards the candle.
Hawk: "As long as you don't snuff it out." His eyes still focused on his sketching. The girl shrugs as she goes to read her book. "I believe that's the "Shadow of War", am I correct?"
Faunus Girl: Slightly surprised. "Oh! Uh, yeah. I didn't think anyone would've been able to tell. How'd you know?"
Hawk: "I've read the series...twice." His eyes did not leave his book.
Blake: "My name is Blake. It's good to meet someone that has someone else that knows literature."
Hawk: "Hawk. If you plan on reading the full series, I'd start with "The Bright Lord", then "The Gravewalker". They both cover the two characters' backstories as well as set the stage for the book you're currently reading."
Blake: "Really? Well, I'll be sure to keep an eye out." As they go back to their business, two individuals Hawk recognizes as the short black-haired girl and the blond-haired girl make their way over.
Blonde: "Hello! I believe you three may know each other?"
Blake: "Arent you that girl that exploded?"
Hawk: "And didn't defend yourself when that Schnee berated you?"
Ruby: "Uh, yeah. My name's Ruby, but you can just call me crater...uh..you can just call me Ruby."
Blake: "...ok." Her eyes still focused on her book, Hawk going back to his drawing.
Blonde: "So? What are your names?"
Blake: "Blake, and this is Hawk."
Yang: "Well, Blake, Hawk, I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister. I like your bow..it matches your pajamas." Receiving a questioning look from Hawk and Blake.
Hawk: "Well, it seems that this conversation is over, so if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to my drawing, so if you'd be so kind as to leave."
Yang: "Yeah, these two are a lost cause."
Ruby: "What're you drawing? If I may ask?"
Hawk: "*sigh* It's something I met a long time ago. I draw it to gain inspiration." Holding the book towards the three so that they can see.
