Hawk walks through the Emeral forest, Stormchaser in one hand, the spear he retrieved in the other. Along the way, he'd had to kill a couple of Grimm, nothing too challenging for him.
Dante(mental): "Hey...do you wanna...talk about what happened?"
Hawk(mental): "I did what had to be done. You saw what happened, no one was coming to help him, and even then, he would've gotten us killed...I had to."
Dante(mental): "Look, no one saw, that means no one will ever know. You buried him, gave him an honor most wouldn't have. I won't judge you, so don't judge yourself. Okay, kiddo?"
Hawk(mental): "Thank you, Dante. It was...nice to hear that."
Pyrrha: "Oh! Hawk, you found it!" Her voice pulled him back to reality. Turning around, he sees her walking up to him, her shield in hand. "I was wondering where that was, I was hoping I wouldn't have to fight through some Grimm to get it, but it looks like it found its way into safe hands."
Hawk: "Uh..yeah here. I didn't recognize it at first, so I just chose to hang on to it." Handing her the spear, she quickly changes it into a shortsword stowing it in a sheathe.
Pyrrha: "Might I say that was a rather impressive start you showed up at the cliff. It seems your semblance has to do with lightning. That's amazing." Her words of joy seemed to cause Hawk's heart to beat faster.
Hawk: "Well...I don't mean to show off, but I wanted to set a standard."
Pyrrha: "We'll consider your standard set. You know I was paying attention to your launch and noticed how you could slice through the trees with almost no loss in momentum. How were you able to do that?"
Hawk: "Hmm. It seems you might have another riddle to solve." Her giddiness over him somehow brought this mind away from Jaune. Something he wasn't keen on remembering.
Pyrrha: "Well then, it seems we're partners now. Maybe you can tell me all about your semblance on our way to the temple, Mr. Dark Slayer."
Dante(mental): "Dark Slayer!?"
Hawk: "Dark Slayer? I didn't know I already got a nickname."
Pyrrha: "Apparently, due to your "overly introvert" personality and your fascination with a katana, some of the students have taken to calling you that. I think it suits you, makes you sound mysterious."
Dante(mental): "Kid, now I'm not trying to state the obvious. But I think she's flirting with you."
Hawk: "And uh...what do you think of it?"
Pyrrha: "It sounds like you have a riddle to solve." She says, taking the lead as Hawk stops in his tracks.
Dante(mental): "Oh yeah. Flirting."
Hawk(mental): "Such a strange girl." Running to catch up with her.
The two would continue their trek through the forest, killing Grimm along the way with relative ease. Finally, nearing a cave entrance, they stop and decide to inspect it as it could be a shortcut. Walking through the cavern, they find a torch to light.
Pyrrha: "Didn't know you could light a torch that way." her voice echoed through the cave.
Hawk: "I grew up in the forest of Mistral. I had to learn how to adapt to my surroundings." Coming up with a lie to hide his true identity, the Branwen clan not being the most liked people on the planet.
Pyrrha: "Well, that seems pretty handy. Unfortunately, I grew up in relative luxury, then I became a tournament champion, and it got worse."
