Epilogue

Three years later

Mia stood at the front of the cottage in the Love Holidaze and stared around her with a dreamy smile. What a change time can make!

From hating Cupid to loving him so deeply that she hated when they spent any time apart. This was now her world. She was the Goddess of Love and everywhere revelled at the mere thought of that.

The human dimension had never had such love surrounding it and it had changed dramatically because of her existence. War was not even a discussed word in the human dimension now. About the most dramatic thing that happened was siblings fighting over who sat in what seat in the car.

Couples stayed in love and divorce was such a rarity that no human bothered with it anymore. The human dimension had found happiness and love in much the same manner that Mia had, both surprising and unexpected but also welcome.

Looking around the Love Holidaze was a wonder to behold now, instead of the dingy building she had first noticed here. New colours and delightful aromas filled the air.

A wonderful warm wind scented with jasmine made the Holidaze always feel like spring, which Mia loved and had changed the moment she knew she could. It turned out that Mother Nature was a delight to work with if one inquired politely for her help. Mia still didn't know what Cupid had done to enrage her with neither party speaking of it. Mia now had nice weather in her Holidaze and that made her happy.

Glancing around, she took in the full glory of the Holidaze. The lake now stretched further out until meeting the low foothills. Mia still hadn't explored all of the land within the Holidaze. Nowadays she just didn't have the time between her demands of both work and home.

"Caramia, why are you hiding away? We have a lot to achieve today."

"I'm well aware of that. I can't believe that Avery's about to turn six. It'll be good to have her birthday party here rather than in Santa's village. At least here we can all go swimming without freezing our butts off," Mia grinned.

"You love Santa's Village."

"Yeah, I do, but I prefer it here, it's more my temperature."

"We've only got a few minutes before our new child sized arrivals get here," Cupid warned.

"I can organise that, if you get the cherubs to stop trying to get Connelly to fly. He doesn't have wings yet and I'm afraid he's going to fall off that fountain," Mia gestured to the boy who continuously flapped his arms without ever achieving airborne status.

"Can do," Cupid saluted her before turning to their toddler son.

For a moment, Mia watched Cupid interact with the little boy who so resembled him. A blonde mop of curls sat upon the most cherubic of cherub faces. All of the cherubs adored him, hence the flying lessons. His blue eyes had tinges of green and he charmed anyone with just a flutter of his long eyelashes.

Mia hadn't known whether her goddess status had made her unlikely to have children. Connolly had sure surprised them when he did appear. She couldn't love him anymore and it made her happy to see his cute little face.

"Greetings to the God and Goddess of Love," Meri teased as she entered the Love Holidaze.

"Oh, damn, I'm not ready yet," Mia mumbled.

She quickly ran to the alcoves and started throwing her magic around. The air tingled around her as she created the birthday party to end all children's birthday parties.

"Aww, I like the sparkles, auntie Mia," Avery said as she rushed up to hug Mia's legs.

"Hello, my cute little girl," Mia leaned down to pick her up. "And a happy birthday to you."
