"Don't listen to me"

Joe POV

"How the hell?" I mumbled setting her body down on my bed before realizing the blood that seeped into my sheets from the back of her head. "Shit shit shit!" I groaned hurrying to find a first aid kit in my bathroom. "Y/N what the hell happened?" I rushed to get some hydrogen peroxide lightly moving her hair to see the small gash on the back of her head. Who the hell did this to her? Don't panic Joe it's not that bad just needs a stitch or four. "Shouldn't be too hard right?" Famous last words.

It took an hour to stitch the gash and another to clean everything up. I need to start working out more. I stood in the kitchen heating my sub before getting a text from Beck.

Beck: Where are you? I'm at the park

First I've got an injured girl in my bed and now my Beck texts me. Not nerve-racking at all. I press the calm button not expecting a furious Beck. "Where are you? I thought you would've been here an hour ago?" She asked practically exasperated. "What do you mean?" I tried to keep my voice quiet just so I wouldn't wake Y/N up but Beck was loud enough for the both of us. "You said to meet you at the park at 6 and it's almost 8 Joe if you couldn't have come then just say so next time I'm going home." Shit. "Wait Beck I didn't-" The call was dropped before I could even say anything. "Just great" I muttered to myself looking through my messages and seeing that I did ask her to go to the park. "What the-?"
No. I didn't have time for this. Damage control, I've got to do some serious damage control. I headed to the door throwing on my coat before giving a last glance to Y/N on the bed. This is getting complicated, too complicated. Reluctantly I left grabbing my keys and locking the door behind me.

~Timeskip~

That was close. I let out a sigh as I looked at Beck's ceiling lying on her bed. Way too close, so much for being consistent Joe. I sat up looking around for my shirt since it was going to be morning soon. Let's hope Sleeping Beauty stays asleep for now. I let out a small chuckle thinking of  Y/N in my bed but...I just hope she tells me what happened. I left Beck some breakfast and a note before heading out. By the time I came back, she was still asleep in his bed. She looked almost too comfy for some who just had a head injury. "I should start making those eggs" I muttered. Cute. I stood on the side of the bed last night's sleep wearing off as I watched her sleep soundly. My eyes traveled all across her features from her delicate eyelashes to her plump and slightly bitten lips. They looked plump and soft almost as if-. I snapped out coming back to my senses. Y/N you're going to be the death of me. I let out a low groan running my fingers through my hair before making my way to the kitchen to make her some breakfast for when she does wake up.

It didn't take long to cook the scrambled eggs and sure he wasn't sure what to say to her now after finding her practically bleeding out on his doormat. I opened the door to my bedroom seeing she already sat up clutching her head before she looked up at me. Looks like we both had some explaining to do.

Y/N POV
It was a throbbing pain I could hardly open my eyes from how much they stung. Fucking assholes. I woke up groggily my eyes slowly getting used to the light bathing into my room. Wait a minute... As I stared at the ceiling of what I thought was my room I suddenly shot up on the bed sitting up too quickly for my body's liking. "Son of a-" I clutched my head noticing the gauze patch on the impact spot behind my head tender to the touch. I tried to settle the nausea I felt but before I could I turned to the sound of the door opening. Once I got a good look at the room it was too late the last person I needed to see at this moment was now standing at the door a breakfast tray in hand with his stupid cute smile.

"H-Hi" I wanted to curl into myself for how awkward my voice just sounded. "I-Joe I can explain-" I stammered a bit throwing the covers off and going to stand up but he quickly sat me back down the sudden feeling of warmth from his hand on my arms made me a bit flustered. "Hey take it easy had to give you a small stitch can't say that I'm a professional but you were bleeding a lot" he gestured to his shirt on the chair bed the bed was spotted with blood. I couldn't even look at him this was already so embarrassing and right after the cafe incident too. First, he sees the paparazzi practically run me down and now I cause a crime scene at his front door I am livid. "I'm sorry I'll just- Could I buy you another shirt?" I asked sheepishly to him turning to at least maintain some sort of semblance of normalcy. "Oh, you don't have to don't even worry about it" he quickly put his hands up to say no. "Please it's the least I could do you didn't ask for your neighbor bleeding out in front of you last night" I reassured him to which he finally relented. "Soo..."  Here it comes. She could tell he wasn't trying to pry but she was still basically passed out last night so she didn't blame him when he dove straight into wanting the facts."Wanna tell me why Pablo thought you died on my welcome mat last night?" He asked a small smile making light of the moment as he passed me the plate of scrambled eggs from the try with a small nudge. "God this is embarrassing" I groaned with a smile in return looking up at his disheveled morning look. From the looks of it, he probably slept on his couch last night his fluffy brown curls were sticking out everywhere now and the way he was just looking at This is definitely NOT the time to be thinking of this! I snapped out my thoughts before replying to him.

"Is there any way I can take a raincheck on that question?" I asked him with a sigh as I ate the food. There was so much I had to do when I got back home. Getting a padlock is one of them "It's just...complicated and I got a little hurt that's all." I was hoping he wouldn't want to pry any further but judging by the looks of it he wants answers. Gods this is NOT going to be easy. "Worth a shot" I sighed with a small shrug. "Well...wanna talk about it over some coffee then? Maybe somewhere without paparazzi this time?" I joked lightly trying to at least make this situation easier. "I'll take your word for it" he stood up from the side of the bed holding out a hand to me. "I'll take you back to your place first I don't think you'd want to step up in that bloody dress." Joe Goldberg, you are a dangerous dangerous man.
