Joe POV I drove to Beck's apartment and just waited in my car as I texted her that I was here. I was definitely ready to charm her during this ride but to my disappointment she put in her headphones and started listening to music. Well of all things I wasn't expecting that but I can work with this Beck. " Hey Beck sorry to interrupt you but I don't know where you're heading." I tapped her she immediately took off her headphones and apologized "I'm so sorry I've just been so nervous I have a two big meetings today and I wanted to have some meditation minutes I'm sorry for ignoring you" she said trying to charm her way out of the fact that she didn't want to talk to me. "It's fine we've all been there sometimes" I laughed at her cute way of apologizing. "Just to the Foam Party cafe" she told me and off we were. It was just a silent drive there but a comfortable silence I parked at the entrance and Beck and I got out to wait for this person in front of the cafe. Speaking of which who is this person it can't be any of her friends or she would've said in her text that it was her friend. "Oh there you are I hope you don't mind my friend Joe is giving us a ride" I turned my attention to the person I least expected to see. Y/N L/N. Jesus fucking Christ! Now what's she going to think,I just kissed her last night now I'm here with another woman?! I was panicking what do I even say to her it doesn't seem like she mad or even happy her face was just neutral. " It's fine nice to meet you too Joe" No no no come all Y/N don't be like that you're really going to pretend you don't know me? I couldn't really do much but greet her back. We all soon got in the car and started driving to a store called Ravella. Y/N didn't talk at all during the ride neither did Beck seeing as she was addicted to her phone but Y/N was just gazing outside the window as we passed countless buildings. It wasn't until I announced that we reached the store did she snap out of her daze. Y/N come on the least you can do is look at me! I was getting increasingly frustrated but I kept it hidden behind my face. We all walked inside and Y/N instantly went to go look for something so it was just me and Beck. "Well want to go look at some jewelry in the meantime? " she said asked trying to brush off the fact that Y/N abandoned us in a prestigious store that mind you has workers looking at us as if we're complete trash. Well I guess you're fancier than most Y/N all the glamour none of the arrogance. "Hey Beck I found it!" I turned my attention to you Y/N, all excited and cheerful. Ir makes me wish I had kissed your lips last night instead of your cheek but it made me feel like something exploded inside of me either way. I stood behind both of the girls and watched as Beck swiped her card and it decline oooh the second hand embarrassment "I-I don't think I have enough" Beck said I could literally see the red forming on her ears from sheer embarrassment but Y/N reassured her that she could pay and not in a rude way but a nice gentle motherly way. I wonder if she's like that with kids? It would be a great characteristic for a mother-to-be
After she purchased it she left soon after saying that she had a friend in the area that she wanted to see. An obstacle? She gave me a short glance before walking off. Nothing eventful happened I just drove Beck home and went home myself. Y/N or Beck I have to choose sooner or later before one girl gets hurt. Well to be fair I know nothing about Y/N expect for her nationality and address other than that she's a closed book. Maybe google? I grabbed my laptop and typed away at it trying to find any link to her name anything that might give me some clues about her. Wow Y/N you really don't want to be seen at all but your company Dissociative sure makes your name well know. Let's see if I can find-oh there you are. Cute little thing so you are a 3 year veteran in the photography business but you only show your face if you really need to and judging from the magazine cover that your company posted you look absolutely stunning as a model. You have an Instagram JustY/N where you post your business photo shoots but never yourself or any of your friends or family. Judging by that conversation I heard you and your mom had I'm guessing you left. As far as I can tell no siblings but really you don't post anything about your family.
I stopped searching after that and decided to get to bed you fascinate me Y/N
Y/N POV
I rushed to Nin's house after that whole fiasco and let myself in with a key she hides in a brick in the wall. "Babes I'm home" I laughed as I walked into the kitchen seeing Adam cooking while Nin had a bowl of rice on her belly. "Hey babes how you doing" she asked pausing her TV show "You know the mother of all bitches keeps calling me and the dude I have a crush on keeps going to another girl" I groaned flopping down on her couch rubbing her belly. "Aaaaww poor baby" she said sarcastically eating popcorn. "Shush your mouth" I laughed and grabbing a handful out of her bowl to eat. "Yeah yeah but you can't let your mother find you again last time wasn't so great" she said seriously "I know and I'm working on it" I told her sighing "Y/N I'm serious last time we found you on the ground bleeding and overdosed I-I don't want to see you like that again" I could hear her voice crack wanting to cry. "Trust me Nin I'm okay" I reassured her just as Adam came in with his ramen noodles. "We trust you Y/N we just don't trust your mother"Adam sat down on the opposite side of Nin and started eating while I just checked my phone as I tracked down Joe. "I know I know but trust me if I need your help I'll call you guys okay?" I grabbed my bag and waved them goodbye as I just walked home in the rain. You see Joe my life it isn't easy nor is it enjoyable but if I just had you I would be so happy just having you here. I mean when you kissed me that day I was so happy I felt like all my problems left me in that moment. As I walked up to my apartment I could see you there waiting for me. "Y/N I know it's a little weird but can we talk please" I stood there stunned and shocked that you were here "Y/N?" I snapped out of my thoughts when he called my name and quickly fumbled to get my keys. "Sorry it's just that I didn't think you'd come visit me and I guess my house is a little messy" I laughed nervously. Opening the door I let him inside and setting down my bag somewhere safe. "Sorry you had to stand in the rain like that." I handed him a towel to dry his hair off but he just looked down at the ground before looking up and speaking. "Y/N I'm so sorry I came onto you like that I really shouldn't have done anything like that without your consent and god it just seems like ever since I've met you all I've done is apologize to you" he ran his fingers through his hair and I giggled a little at his internal frustration. "It's fine I won't tell your girlfriend if that's what you're worrying about it was just an accident" Now this is where he says that he doesn't have one and I can finally ask him out on a date!! "Really? Thank you so much everything has been so hectic as of lately I just needed some reassurance" he sighed
But in that same moment when he felt relief I felt my heart shatter in pieces just like the last time I loved someone. "That's wonderful you're feeling better Joe but I've got to get to started on my work and today has been so tiring so see you later. I walked him to the door and said goodbye and watched as he walked into another girl's arms.
