Joe pov
I was panicking and big time one of my potential partners is about to discover the human that I'm keeping down here for another potential partner. I have to stop her I have to. I don't want you to think I'm a monster you're too innocent for that. Out of sheer panic I grabbed her throat and pinned her to the wall "Joe?" You sounded so scared it broke my heart hearing your voice tremble like that. "Listen to me Y/N you're gonna go back upstairs and tell Ethan you changed your mind " I told her in her gripping her arm hard in the process. " Do you understand?" She nodded and I slowly let her go. It wasn't until I looked at her scared face was when I realized what I just did "I'm sorry I j-" I said to her as she shed a few tears in front of me " No no it's fine, yeah okay I'll just go n-now" I felt my heart shatter as she walked back upstairs. Was all this for Beck really worth it ?
I rushed back to try and apologize but she was gone. Damn it now look what you've done you idiot. You did all this and for what? For Beck to still worry about Benji 24/7? Come on Joe! I was worried about her so I did what I do best, I followed her. By the time she got home she just plopped down on her couch with a bowl of food just watching T.V. I need to tell her I'm sorry. I just have to... I knocked on her apartment door and when she opened it you the look on her face was fear. "H-hey Joe" she's closing the door closer to her and looking down. "Joe if this is about the basement I'm fine-" no you're not. You want to cry so badly but you won't let me see you weak again. You're building up walls against me. "No I just wanted to say I'm really really sorry for what I did I just something came over me and I" I hated that I couldn't explain myself to you Y/N "Hey it's getting late and I-I've got work tomorrow so goodnight Joe" she was about to close the door until I put my foot in there to stop her. "Please can we just talk?" She opened the door and got out to face me. "Look I'm sorry it's just that so much stuff has been going on with my life and I've been getting less and less sleep as of late and the book that you wanted I let a kid I know borrow it and he's been having problems of his own and I've just been trying to help him I could get fired for what I did so I kinda freaked out on you and I'm so sorry for that" she only nodded "Well thanks for telling me and I forgive you" I caught a glimpse of her arm seeing a large bruise of a hand print on it I guess she saw me eying it and she only smiled weakly before telling me that she was fine. " I understand now Joe you don't have to keep being-" I felt so horrible that she has to reassure me like this and regret for going after Beck that kissed her cheek.
Your POV
He's kissed me he's actually kissed me aaaahhh I could die happy now! But wait focus focus what should I even do after this? if I allow us to be in a relationship now that'd be too soon. When Joe pulled away he looked shocked by what he did too "It's fine you're probably just tired Joe go get some rest" I kept my face neutral because I didn't want you to think that I liked you or that I hated you. "Yeah goodnight Y/N" he waited until I was inside before he left and by the looks of my gps tracker was actually heading home. "Now that my Joe is gone this girl has got some investigating to do" I cracked my knuckles pulling out that girl's number "Guinevere what a dumb name" I scoffed as I dialed her number she answered after three rings and I greeted her friendly saying that if she was free I would like to go shopping for the blouse tomorrow. "Okay lets see what you got that Joe wants so much" I threw my phone to the couch and went to the kitchen to pull out a box underneath my kitchen sink filled with needles, poison and pills. I went to sleep that night ready and prepared as I set out my outfit and purse. I woke up that morning to a text from my mother saying the following ; Y/N I just want to help you I know you're sad about what happened between you two in the past but you can't keep doing this to him. It's not normal please just call us
"Whatever" I ignored my mother and just texted that bitch Guinevere where we should meet up and got ready. "I can't believe I'm going to meet up with this girl she's so lucky I love you Joe or I would've slit her throat by now" I grumbled to myself grabbing my bag and walking out the door. I started walking down to a cafe not far from here but something happened that I'd never thought I'd see. Joe was there my wonderful beautiful Joe was there with that girl was just talking and flirting again! I kept my anger in as I walked towards them with confidence. "Oh there you are I hope you don't mind but my friend Joe is giving us a ride" she tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear as she looked at Joe. "It's fine,nice to meet you too Joe" stay calm Y/N breathe"You too and don't worry the place it a 15 min drive from here" he told me but I didn't want to pay him no mind right now. Out of all the people in this city it had to be her! Now I'm really going hurt that girl badly. I felt my hands start to twitch slightly. I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I didn't realize we arrived "We're here!" Joe said snapping me out my thoughts as we all started getting out I walked into the store and started looking around for the exact same blouse. When I finally found it I was about to go up to the Beck when I saw her and Joe picking out jewelry together and him insisting he will pay foe it. "Hey Beck I found it!" I called over to her cheerfully and we both got to the counter and the cashier swiped the shirt. "That'll be $200 please" you could see her practically choke on air when she heard the price. "I-I don't think I have enough" she told me embarrassed but I just smiled at her "No No it's fine it wasn't that big of a deal anyways I'll pay for it I'm new to this city and it's nice to get to know some people" I already knew she wouldn't have enough this is a high end store and by the looks of her shirt that has a tiny hole at the bottom she couldn't even afford anything for herself. The shirt was expensive but nothing I couldn't handle I pulled out my card and payed for the shirt. "Well it was fun hanging out with you guys but I've got to dash my friend is in this area and she needs my help" I left her there feeling embarrassed about the situation and It took all my will power not to say anything to Joe but I took a small glance at him before moving on and started walking down the street to Nin's house. You're not gonna slip through my fingers that easy Joe and I refuse to lose to that thing!
Joe POV You're an idiot Joe a complete idiot! I groaned as I walked home I really messed this one up big time. As I was wallowing in myself pity I get a text from Beck "Hey do you think you could drive me somewhere tomorrow?" I should say no I really should say no but damn are you tempting Beck...alright I'll bite. I replied yes and started to rush myself down the street into my home. Paco didn't seem like he was there tonight so I just went to bed. Let's hope you can redeem yourself Beck because right now Y/N is definitely more my pick.
