SONYA HAD BARELY BEEN INSIDE THE CASTLE-LIKE SCHOOL AND SHE ALREADY FOUND IT ON THE MUCH BETTER SIDE. When she had woken up, her dorm mates (Pansy Parkinson and Daphne Greengrass) were already getting dressed. Sure, she was late to wake, and may not have if those two weren't so loud when talking. To be honest, she'd actually been awake for five minutes before she got up, but was only listening to them talk about many things, including boys, where Sonya might've came from and the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.

However, when she'd actually gotten out of bed, Pansy had pointed her to where the bathrooms were. Daphne had offered to walk her there, which she declined before making her way there. The bathrooms were much more welcoming than those at Zoxerra. Sonya didn't know why she found herself comparing the two so often, as she knew there wouldn't be a day where she'd go back there, right?

Sonya sat at the table in the great hall, and even managed to navigate her way there. On her own too, which was great for her second day at Hogwarts. (She had to follow some Ravenclaws too.) She exhaled, shoving a part of her hair out of her face as Blaise and Draco looked up. Crabbe and Goyle were too busy eating and chattering to themselves, and Alexandra was nowhere to be seen.

"Good morning to you too, I guess." Sonya waved.

"We were getting there," Blaise replied.

"Where's Alexandra?" She glanced around the hall swiftly, looking for her, but she didn't see her in the common room, so she'd just gone out of lack of patience.

     "Bad morning?" Draco guessed.

Sonya finally actually settled down, her eyes flickering between the two. "Not really, it's just that I was stuck behind some Ravenclaws on the way here and they were all so loud and annoying, honestly. Pansy and Daphne didn't want breakfast."

"What do you expect? They're Ravenclaws," Blaise said, stabbing his fork into the egg on his plate.

She grabbed a piece of toast, and bit into it while staring at Blaise's head. Her eyes flickered to Draco for a second. He didn't seem to have much interest in the food.

"Selwyn's over there," Draco nodded to somewhere behind her, and she turned her upper body to see. He continued speaking with a hint of disgust in his tone. "With that Weasley twin." Her eyes scanned the hall, before they landed on her black hair. However, they didn't stay on for long when a whoosh sounded over the great hall followed by clatter.

Sonya turned back around, just as hundred of owls came soaring in. They descended over the hall, carrying packages and letters, dropping them just over their owners. How stylish, she thought. Speaking of how weird this school was, she had forgotten to question him about the hat yesterday. But now, it wasn't the most important thing, so she shoved it to the bottom of her mental to-do list.
