You sat at the edge of the astronomy tower, looking over at the sunset. Colours of pink, orange, yellow and red covered the sky as the end of the day came.

The feast was being hosted in the great hall, however you didn't really feel like eating anything. You'd felt quite down in the dumps lately and spent most of your nights looking up to the sky, watching the sun set, or curled up in bed with a good book and the comfort of your teddy bear.

You'd never realised just how beautiful the Hogwarts grounds were until quite recently. Your thoughts on one particular person fixated in your mind. You couldn't get him out of your head. That person being the one guy you thought you'd never fall for. You'd never thought about him like this before. He was your best friend, and he always has been. It was as though these feelings had just crept up on you like a spider. You had confided yourself in the walls build in your mind, trusting only yourself not to tell anyone about these sudden feelings towards him.

You sit and think of all the times you may not have realised you were really into him. You realise how you've always felt different about him compared to anyone else. The way it made you feel when he smiled at you, the way he threw his head back when he laughed, or the way he whispered in you ear. You realised this had just been developing overtime, you just failed to realise it.

Your thoughts were interrupted by footsteps behind you. As your head whipped round, you were surprised to see the boy himself, Harry James Potter.

You feel your cheeks light up as he approaches you and your turn you head away and back up at the sky, that had now faded into a dark greyish blue, ready for the moon and stars to appear.

"Hi," you spoke quietly and he let out a sigh as he sat down beside you, lazily resting his bodyweight on the palm of his hands, leaning back.

"Hi," he smiled, staring up at you, "how come your not at the feast?"

You take a deep breath, debating on telling him the truth, but that little voice in your head tells you not to. "I just come up here to think," you mumbled, and then turn to face him, "how come your not either?"

He shrugged, looking over to the night sky, "wasn't hungry. Thought I'd go looking for you." He smirked over at you and you chuckled, your cheeks turning pink as you looked down to cover it with your hair.

A silence emitted between the two of you. It wasn't an awkward silence, nor was it a comfortable silence. Little did you know, the both of you were battling your thought, wondering wether or not to tell the other person the truth, desperate to be closer to each other.

"I've....I've been meaning to tell you something," Harry spoke slowly, taking a second thought on wether or not to speak his mind.

"Okay, what is it?" You asked, turning your head to face him. The look on your face was normal, but inside you hoped he was going to say the words you were desperate to hear.

"I wanted to be honest with you....and tell you how I feel," he spoke again, the hope inside you building as your heart beat faster.

"Okay?..." you practically whispered as shock and longing built up inside you. You'd dreamt about the words exiting from his mouth. You'd think up scenarios all day, day dreaming of different ways this could happen.

Of course your overactive imagination had let you down a few times. Where Harry had done or said something that made you think maybe he was about to do it. That he was going to express his feelings. That he hopefully felt the same way. But in the end you were just let down, and that's why you'd been so blue lately.

"How I feel about you.." he added. The voice in your head was screaming, freaking out, but on the outside you were completely frozen. You hummed an answer, staring at his gorgeous face.

The words were eminent on his tongue. Harry just couldn't devise the words into sentences. He had resited the words in his head over and over again, knowing exactly what he wanted to say, but as soon as the opportunity came up, he would always decided against it. But this time he wasn't backing down. He had to speak his heart because it was driving him crazy. He couldn't eat, he couldn't sleep, he couldn't focus in lessons. You had taken over his thoughts. It was as though everything and everyone else had just been wiped from his brain, and all that was left was you. Your face. Your body. Your hair. Your lips. Your eyes. He could stare into your eyes all day.

"So...I've thought a lot about something you said," the words came from Harry's mouth at a slow pace, the thoughts in his head moving faster than he could process them, "about how.. when you realise how quickly everything I can fall apart, it makes you never want to give up anything good. Ever again."

As you listened to every word intently, you had to recite the words again in your head, making sure you were hearing them right. You remembered saying that to your friends a few weeks ago. Honestly, you didn't think he was listening. You didn't think any of them were listening. Which is why after a while you stopped, taking in the looks on everyone's faces.

That's exactly what Harry did at this moment: he stared into your glittering eyes, shining brightly as the moon shone down on the two of you. Your glossy lips were irresistible to him. His eyes dipped down to them and straight back up to your eyes. Your heart skipped a beat, wondering wether this was it. If this was the moment you'd waited for. The kiss you'd longed for.

"And these feelings I have.....they are good," he chuckled slightly, a gorgeous smile appearing on his face, "they are really good. It is actually the best thing that has ever happened to me. And.... I don't want it to be over. I don't want to get over it I want to..."

Harry's words trailed off as his eyes went down to your lips once more. He couldn't wait any longer. He had to kiss you. He needed to kiss you.

He placed his hand behind you neck and pulled your face close to his. His lips pressed against yours in a passionate lip lock. Your hand laid gently on his chest, the other on your lap as his second hand slowly made its way up your leg as the two of you faced one another. The positions you were in beforehand had changed drastically. The two of you were now in a tight embrace, his lips passionately kissing yours.

Your heart rate tripled in speed, a second pulsation appearing as his hand made its way closer and closer to the top of your thigh. Your entire body tinged at the feeling of his hands on you.

Your lips broke apart. Unable to open your eyes for a few seconds once it was over, you relived the moment in your head. The moment perpetuating in your brain. It was perfect.

From the moonlit sky, to the quiet sound of animals in the trees, the ambience was the most romantic. The beautiful stars in the sky; it was the promise of light in darkness, a sense of warmth springing from the cold. The night sky was such a welcoming sight, appearing like magic at each sunset, promising to return. It was nights like this, beautiful nights, dark, where the stars were the only light, that you enjoyed the most.

You opened your eyes a few seconds after the kiss had broken, staring deep into Harry's pretty green eyes. 'How could someone be so handsome?' You thought to yourself as a smile appeared on his face. Trying your best not to scream in excitement, a huge smile appeared on your face, making him chuckle.

At first you thought you were dreaming. That this was another sick game your brain was playing on you. But you soon realised it was real. It was too good to be true, but also too good to not be.

"I...... I need to think of something to say first give me a second," you mumbled making Harry laugh as you turned your head away. There were too many thoughts in your head. Too many things you wanted to say. They all wanted to come out at once, battling each other on who gets to go first. Like siblings fighting over who gets to sit in the front seat of the car.

You felt his hand reach up to gently grab your chin, and he turned your head back round to face him again.

"I really really like you," he spoke softly, staring into your eyes as they filled with happiness at his words.

"I like you too," you spoke in a sweet voice, giggling in happiness. He laughed, a huge smile fixed on his face, before pulling you closer to him again and kissing you once more. And it was just as magical as the last one.
