You flew down to the ground of the quidditch field, along with the rest of the team. You threw your broomstick on the ground in anger, grumbling as you did so. Your team had just lost the game against Slytherin and you, a chaser, had missed almost all of your shots. You had somehow gotten distracted and now the team had lost because of your stupidity.

"Y/n it's okay-" Harry appeared beside you as you attempted to walk off in a huff. However, he was cut off by Cormac McLaggen, the Gryffindor keeper, as he made his way over to the rest of the team in a fit of rage.

"What the hell is wrong with you Y/l/n," Cormac yelled, throwing his broomstick on the ground just like you had, "that was a such a shitty shot!" McLaggen was clearly extremely annoyed, throwing his hands around like a maniac as he screamed at you. Your final shot towards the Slytherin keeper had been your most shocking of all. All your teammates were being tailed, and the only thing you could do was take a shot at random.

"What else was I supposed to do? No one else was open!" You argued back, defending yourself, and the rest of the team watched at Cormac McLaggen yelled orders at you, insulting you with harsh criticism.

"Circle back around until the nets open! What are you thick?" He continued to scream at you from only a few inches away, his tall broad build making him slightly more intimidating, but you tried to keep your cool, "we just lost the game because of you, you stupid-" Before McLaggen could finish his insult, Harry had now stepped in front of him, blocking the man's view of you.

"You're gunna wanna chose your next words carefully McLaggen, or you off the team," Harry warned him, anger clear in his tone of voice.

"Don't bullshit me Potter," Cormac argued back with his captain and you stepped back a little, away from the two, "you seriously think that was the right decision?"

"Boys!" The bellowing voice of Professor McGongall could be heard from across the field, as she made her way over with a few other teachers, and many students following from their previous places in the stands, wanting to see the commotion up close.

"Yeah I do," Harry replied in a raised voice, both boys ignoring the Professors warning, "if she circled back round Slytherin could have taken the quaffel off her and we'd have lost by even more points. You need to stop barking orders McLaggen, don't forget who the Captain is." It was often that McLaggen did this. He'd order the rest of the team round as if he was the Captain, which is one of the reasons why Harry didn't want to accept Cormac onto the team. But after Ron got sent to the hospital wing, he had no other choice but to allow him onto the team as keeper, to replace Ron.

"Of course you gunna take her side," Cormac argued, flailing his arms around to gesture at you, an annoyed look on his face, "just cause your mates with the slag-"

And without warning, Harry threw himself at Cormac. Gasps could be heard around the field as Cormac landed on the ground, Harry's fist connecting with his face. It was as if Ginny had known straight away what was going to happen, for as soon as the words left Cormac's mouth, you felt her hand pull you aside, and you watched with a shock-filled expression as Harry beat the absolute shit out of Cormac McLaggen.

The professors and rest of the students had soon made their way over to fight, right as Dean Thomas and one of the beaters were attempting to pull the two apart. Harry's nose had been busted, and Cormac's face was barely recognisable, blood covering almost all of his features.

"Mr McLaggen!" McGonagall screeched, making her way over to the boys, "Language like that will not be tolerated at this school! My office now!" And with that, Dean dragged McLaggen off to McGonagalls office, and Gryffindor head of house then turned to Harry, who was still being held back.
