Hey guys! I am deeply sorry for such a late update, it's been months! Yes, I suck! I have little to no excuse. There has been time where I could have written it but I was just not in the mood. I had to force myself to write this chapter and for that reason, it may not be such a good chapter. I am really sorry about that but I hope you guys still enjoy it since it should make some sense.

Also, this chapter is dedicated to JordyisyourNeighbour for being such an awesome person to talk to. But we haven't spoken in a while :(. Also her story is quite good so check it out!!!

Happy reading

Chapter Fourteen ~ Meeting The Familiar

Pandora was pushed into a dark room, her eyes shut with weakness. She stumbled to the floor and lay there, her left cheek pressed against the cold, hard floor and her arms stretched out either side of her. The three men along with Darren remained outside of the room as the sound of footsteps increased, someone advancing their way.

“Please tell me you got them,” a frustrated voice called out even before reaching the four.

Back in the room, Pandora lifted her head up and opened her eyes only to be met by darkness. At first she thought she had gone blind but the line of light filtering into the room through the door that was left ajar adjusted to her eyes and she was able to see dark furniture in the room. The voice was the thing that caught her attention. It sounded somehow familiar.

“Kind of,” She heard Darren reply.

“What do you mean ‘kind of’?” The voice raised in volume a few notches and she realised by this time he was on the other side of the door. “You guys can go back to your usual work.” He addressed the others as she heard three sets of clicks walking away.

She attempted to stand up but her efforts did nothing for her weakened body. It was almost like the day she left the prison, only this time she was slightly weaker. Blood: she needed blood; the only way to regain strength in the shortest time possible.

“The thing is…” Darren trailed off with uncertainty in his voice.

“What? Spit it out already!”

“She was too far away to go after, it may have taken us all day and I thought it would be easier capturing Pandora first,” he let out all in one go.

“So you don’t have Eva? She’s the important one, you fool! She has the crest, if Fox gets to her before we do, then we’re done. Now go get her!”

“But how?”

“I don’t care. Just do it and don’t come back until you do. Any time wasted is an advantage to them so take as many men needed and find her!” With that Pandora assumed the hurried footsteps gradually distancing was Darren’s.

Moments later the door creaked fully open and as Pandora was facing away from the door opening her eyes did nothing to reveal who entered the room. The light switch was pressed on. Pandora opened her only to close them just as quickly. She heard the tap of an object being placed on another. Then, she felt hands wrap around her arms and pull her to her feet, her eyes still closed. She just had no more energy to even open her eyes anymore. She leaned against the person who dragged her along.

“Sit, its right behind you.” The same voice she recognised from earlier said.

Without a second thought, she sat down and to her relief the chair was there. The man let her go and sat opposite her.
