"what are we doing here, jack?" cinnia giggled as she held onto jack's hand firmly.
he smiled cheekily as he continued walking the two of them over the sand of the beach.

"nothing in particular," he replied.
cinnia smiled, "well... not like it's midnight."
"yeah exactly. what do you do at the beach at midnight?" asked jack.

"babe, i don't know, you tell me," she laughed.
"i don't know either to be honest with ya," laughed jack.

"at least it's a beautiful night out, yeah?" cinnia pointed out as she looked at the starry sky above her.

"yeah," jack agreed, "it's lovely, innit?"
"stunning,"

"you know what would make it more stunning?" asked jack.
"no, jack. what would?"

"fancy a skinny dip, yeah?" he laughed.
"jack," cinnia laughed, "you read my mind!"

the two tore off their pieces of clothing in a hurry.

jack was the first of them to run off into the ocean. cinnia soon followed behind him, colliding with the wave that crashed ashore.

"this is what we're here for," jack laughed, "to answer your question from earlier."
"is it really?" cinnia cheekily asked, "i never would've guessed it, babe."

"i'm full of surprises, aren't i?" jack smirked.
cinnia felt a cage of butterflies erupt in her stomach as her heart grew warm in her chest.
she loves jack's face. but she loves it even more with that cheeky grin plastered on it.

"come here," jack smiled, opening his arms.

cinnia tread the water of the ocean, walking towards jack. she was met with his arms which loosely hung around her waist.

"i love you, yeah? don't you ever think otherwise," jack told her.
she smiled, "i love you too, jack."

jack leaned in to press a soft but sweet kiss on cinnia's lips. she kisses back immediately, tangling her fingers in jack's gorgeous brown locks.

"you wouldn't mind a quickie in here, would you?" jack asked in between their kiss.
cinnia burst out into laughter, pulling away.

jack laughed as well, still holding the girl in his arms.

"oh my goodness, jack. you never fail to amaze me, babe,"

tears poured from cinnia's eyes as her memories of jack so vividly plagued her mind.

she can't help but beat herself up more and more as the days go by. she just cannot wrap her head around the reason as to why she's riddled with overpowering thoughts of jack every single day.

he's mind it very clear to her that he wants nothing to do with her. he couldn't possibly pay her any less attention than what he does now.

cinnia wiped her cheeks, wrapping her arms around herself for some comfort.

"i miss you, jack," she said to herself, "i miss you so much."

she picked up her phone from beside her, before mindlessly making yet another call to the man himself.

she watched her screen with eyes full of hope as the phone rang.
the hope, however, diminishing more and more as the seconds go by.

declined.

cinnia sighed, "thought so."
