cinnia tore herself up once she laid eyes on the blue ticks on the message that she sent to jack.

it's almost as if something within her woke up, however, and her attitude completely changed. suddenly she realised that all this time she's been taking this blatant rejection and turning it into something more. something that simply just isn't there.

"all these weeks of my life that i will never get back," cinnia sighed as she spoke to ben.
ben nodded his head, "well, cins... you live and you learn, don't you?"

"i know but... i just feel so stupid," she sighed.
"you feel stupid? for what? having feelings?" asked ben.
"well... yeah,"

"mate, the difference in the way that the two of you are acting shows how invested you were. you have a right to have the emotions that you do- or rather did,"

"i agree but it doesn't make it any easier," she sighed, "it's just the fact that i allowed myself to get to that stage and to hurt myself that badly by trying to pursue him still... and he didn't even care for it."

"he's very into faye; there's no denying that. the way he went about it- i don't agree with at all but a guy's got to do what he's got to do. it's just a shame that it hurt you so badly in the process but at the same time, it showed you how he really felt about you."

cinnia laughed, "which was terribly out of love."

"which is just more reason to give him up," ben laughed, "you wouldn't want to turn into one of those crazy ex-girlfriends."

"i think i was headed there, i won't lie," cinnia laughed.
"...i think we all thought that," ben laughed as well.

cinnia sighed, "i think i'm ready to... move on. i'm ready to let jack go."

"that's what i like to hear," smiled ben, "i'm so proud of how far you've come. from throwing yourself at him every chance you got to realising it's time to let him go is fantastic, cinnia. and it's not easy either but you've done it."

she smiled, "thank you, ben. appreciate you."

"appreciate you more, mate. i never want to see you like that again, promise?" he said, sticking his pinky out for cinnia.

she chortled as she nodded her head. she stuck her pinky out as well before hooking her finger with his.

"promise,"
