all alone in her bed, she lay awake, hoping to wake up from this awfully long and torturous dream.

she stared out of the window at the night sky. the moon served as her only accompaniment.

the memories of the phone call that jack and herself shared almost a week ago refuse to leave her mind. she can't shake the feelings of distraught she felt when she heard him say those words.

we're having a baby.

that was something her and jack had discussed for so long. it was only supposed to be the two of them that got to share that, and it's all been taken away.

the amount of heartache and turmoil jack has caused her in the last few days, supersedes that of the last few weeks.

after everything he told her, as well as alluding to the fact that he was no longer in love with her while still together, she just cannot bring herself to hate him.

acting as impulsively as she always does, she picked up her phone.
she began typing away, hoping to ease her restless mind at these dark hours of the night.

i appreciate you letting me know about all that you did. i didn't realise you had fallen out of love with me so quickly - nor when you did. i shouldn't have hung up the phone while you were trying to explain and i'm sorry for doing that. should we talk things out?

she pressed send in none other than jack's chat.

jack's phone buzzed on the bedside table beside him. he peeped over at his device, not wanting to move too much and wake his sleeping girlfriend up.

he was rather surprised to see cinnia's name pop up on the screen. he was even more surprised once he had read the message that she sent.

he knows he probably shouldn't, but he doesn't know what else to do. he simply exited their chat before turning his phone off and going back to sleep.
