Rule no.1 [Nct Jaemin]

Part 11

We got busy for a week after the program that was held last week. Me and Ria don't have any free time to talk. We are busy doing works for our orgs and school works in different subjects. Thankfully we are able to finish it before weekend. Supposedly Sev and I will meet last Tuesday but since we got a lot of school works I just told him to meet this coming Tuesday

It's Saturday and we're currently having our breakfast.

"When I'm going to meet your idol?" 

"Do you want to come with me? I'm actually going there later for lunch." I said.

"So that became your set up, to have lunch together. How sweet, maybe I should get a boyfriend too." She's doing her best to tease me because she can't do it last week.

"You know that he's not. We're friends, maybe? More likely an acquaintance, I guess?"

 She rolled her eyes at me then said, "Are you blind or dumb? Or too numb to think that he might like you?" 

"He don't like me romantically. He's just comfortable around me and besides, I'm the only person he know here."

"You can't guarantee that! He probably know someone here."

"Still! He will never have feelings for me, Ria. I'm a fan but I'm aware of my boundaries. If he's flirting with me I know it was only-" She looked at me with a shocked it her face then shouted, "He flirted with you?!" 

"He's really like that with his fans. You know fan service kind of thing. And, I like someone else." I avoided her gaze.

"WHAT? Who is this dude that reach your high standards?!"

"Stop shouting." I said while covering my ears.

"How could I stop it? You're literally the reason why I'm shouting! So, who is he? The guy that you like. Don't freaking tell me it's Aiden!"

"It's not Aiden."

"Then why did he gave you strawberry milk last week?"

"We're just friends. We share common interest that's why we got closer."

"Then, who?"

"Sev." I plainly said. She stayed quite for a while then held my hand.

"I thought you don't like him?"

"I never said that. I told you I am not ready to be in a relationship. I just realize my feelings when I met him during our after party."

"H-He's getting married."

"I know and I'm happy for him. It's my fault for not being true to myself." My eyes are started to get watery.

I hear Ria curses so she pulled for a hug.

"It's my fault, Ria. I didn't gave him assurance. He's too good for me but don't I deserve him too? Don't I deserve someone who understands me and cares for me? I was just afraid... I'm afraid that he will later realize I'm too complicated to handle." I cried in her shoulders.

"It's your first heartbreak, darling. It's fine to feel the pain rather than trying to conceal it. I'm sorry that I wasn't beside you when you first cried about him."

I chuckled at her last words. I remember how much I cried of Jaemin. It's embarrassing to think that my bias witnessed how I got my heart broken to man who is not him.

"What's with the giggles, Sands?" she confusedly ask.

"Nothing. I just remember something embarrassing." 

"What is it then?"

"Remember our after party? When Jaemin fetch me at the bar. I was so upset upon hearing Sev's news that why I get drunk. I snatched Elle and Aiden's drink. It was a fcking whisky! I  cried in front of Jaemin! Damn, Ria! Imagine, I was crying because of other guy then the guy who sets my standards so high watching me cry, it's freaking embarrassing! He's existence was enough to make me realize that he's the standard."
