Rule no.1 [Nct Jaemin]

Part 16

It's almost three months when he went back to Seoul. This week will be their last week of promotion on music shows. He might be got busier because they'll be practicing for year-end shows. But he never forgets to message me. I spent my time doing the pending school works before my Christmas break. 

"I might stay here for another month." He said and sighed.

"That's fine, Jaemin. Just make sure you eat healthy food." I said.

"I'll visit my parents tomorrow. They gave us a day off." 

"That's good then. Have fun, okay?" I said and smiled.

"I will. I'll call you when I got home. Mom has been bugging me to let her talk to you." He said with a sleepy voice. 

"Call me anytime. I don't have any classes now." 

"Really? Any plans to visit your father?" 

"I'll spend my New Year with him. Ria might go back to Australia next week. I'll stay here for Christmas." I know he will scold me again if I won't be on good terms with my father. 

"Do you want to go here?" I was shocked when I heard his words. 

"I'll be fine here. Enjoy your vacation with your family. I think we should go to sleep." I said and he agreed. 

The next day, I went to the university to get my stuff in the locker. I'm with Ria when we bumped into Aiden. 

"Hey, I'm glad I saw you. I sent you the strawberry milk on your pad." Aiden said

"Really? Thank you, Aiden. You got busier, huh?" 

"Yeah, that's the life of graduating student. Anyways, I need to go now. My girlfriend is waiting." 

"Oh, okay," I said and waved goodbye at him. 

"He had a girlfriend!?" Ria said.

"C'mon, not because he's busy it doesn't mean he can't date anyone." 

"You're right. Let's go get our stuff." She dragged me to our lockers.

After getting our stuff, we went straight home. 

I was busy cooking when my phone rang. It was Jaemin. 

"Hi! Did you have your lunch?" I asked.

"Mom is still cooking. Oh, and you're cooking too." 

"Yeah. What you're going to do today?" I'm talking to him while cutting some veggies. 

"I don't know, maybe shopping?" he answered.

"That's good. Can you buy your mom a bag or a wallet? I'll send the money to your account. It's my gift to her." 

"Okay. I can pay for it but I know I'll only get scolding and lectures from you. I had enough with my mom. I'll send you my account number later."

I heard her mom calling for him. I think she is done with cooking.

"Hey, your mom is calling you. We'll just talk later, okay?" I said. He nodded and said goodbye to me before ending the call.

After lunch, Ria and I just spent our time watching Netflix movies. 

"Are you not really coming with me next week?" She said while eating chips. 

"I'm staying. I want to visit my mom's grave." I told her.

"Does your dad knows about it?" 

I just nodded my head.
