It's been two weeks and the hospital is finally releasing me today! They said that I could go see Rose before I leave because I am healthy now. After I changed I started packing my things. I texted Rose that I should be there to see her in 15 minutes. The nurse came in to check on me one last time. She said, "Good after noon Lily, it's nice to see you with high spirits today." I thanked her and she sent me on my way. I grabbed my bags and ran to the elevator as fast as I could. I got to the fourth floor and can't wait to see my sister after a month. I had to act normal because there were so many cute nurses around. When I found Rose's room I started to see multiple papers on her window then I opened the door. One look and we both started crying with the biggest smiles on our faces. I ran to her and gave her the biggest hug ever. She said, "Lily, I am so happy to see you! I have missed you so much!" I responded, "Me too! I can't believe your hair is gone already. I thought it would take at least three months?" She told me that her treatment had upgraded because her cancer needed a stronger medication. "Hey what's that Rose?" I said as I pointed to her necklace. "It's a birthday present from my boyfriend." I replied, " Aww that's sweet! Wait boyfriend?!" She said, " Yep, Oliver he's across the hall. We have been talking for a month now." I can't believe she got a boyfriend before me. Like how she has only been 20 for a week? She began to explain how they met and how they communicate. "Oh my gosh Rose that's the sweetest thing ever!" I said. We talked for about 15 minutes until the doctors told me that it was time for me to go. "I love you Rose and I can't wait to see you at college." I said before shutting the door. The nurses led me out to my dads limo. He typically sends limos to pick me up when I am out. As I got into the car I couldn't stop thinking about how weird it was that he didn't pick me up. I didn't mind much because soon I will be hugging him and I can see my friends again. Once the car turned the corner I couldn't hold in my excitement to go home. It took about 30 minutes to get home but I took a nap anyway. I couldn't help but start to tear up when I saw my house. Without a moment to lose I ran to the front door and busted through like a bull in a china shop. I started to yell for dad, " Daddy I am home!" No answer so I tried again,"Daddy? Where are you?" I heard nothing back. Then I heard a faint whimper like someone was crying. It was coming from my dad's room. I opened the door and froze. The maid was holding my father on her lap with tears falling faster than a waterfall. His face was white as snow and when I touched his head chills ran down my entire body. "I found him this morning Lily. By the time I found him it was too late. I am sorry." the maid murmured. I lost all control, tears were uncontrollably falling onto his silk sheets. The maid frowned as my screams echoed in the halls. "I called the doctor ma'am and they said that this was expected. He didn't have the money for Rose's treatment, his treatment and yours because the health insurance expired." the maid said, trying to calm me down. My legs went numb, I collapsed to the floor. The maid ran to me and helped me to my room. I couldn't move, my heart was smashed into a billion pieces. How am I going to tell Rose?
