Dear Rose, My sweet baby girl I am so sorry that you have to read this letter. I wished I had got to see you get married and graduate from college but I can't. I should have told you this while I was alive but I am telling you now. 20 years ago I went on a stroll one day when it started to rain. When I started to head home I heard someone crying. I turned around and saw a young lady with brown hair and brown amber eyes. I ran to her and realized she is about to have a baby. "I am sorry, my boyfriend kicked me out and I am about to have my baby." She said in distress, "It's ok I will get help." I called for an ambulance and we were off to the hospital. When we got there I wasn't allowed to go in because I wasn't the father. So I waited 13 hours to see if the young lady was ok. The doctors finally came to me and showed me to the nursery. I looked inside the nursery and the doctors said, " There they are two healthy baby girls Congratulations!" I was shocked these weren't even my children but they looked so innocent and sweet I couldn't believe their father would abandon them like this. Then I asked about the mother and the doctor said, " I am very sorry but she died right after giving birth." I felt so horrible maybe I could have saved her somehow? They told me that she had cancer and couldn't survive the birth. I told them I wasn't the father and they had a complex look on their faces. Then they told me if no one took these girls then they would be sent to the government care. I knew first hand how horrible the foster care system was. So I made the difficult decision to adopt these girls and named them Rose and Lily. My dear Rose I am sorry that I couldn't tell you the truth about your mother but now you know everything about her that I know. I didn't tell you or your sister because I didn't want you to find your real father because he was a cruel man that had a huge drinking problem. For your own safety, I kept it a secret. I hope you can forgive me for what I have done. I thought if I saved her children I could make up for losing her. If you have any questions about your mother you can find her papers filed in my study. I am very sorry my darling I love you very much and will miss you. Love, Daddy.
