Rose and I have only been dating for a week but some reason she shut her curtains so we couldn't talk. What is going on with her? I saw the nurse walk into her room with a sad look on her face and handed Rose a letter. I saw Rose beginning to cry but her face was frozen, the only thing moving was her tears. Then the nurse closed her curtains as Rose looked right at me. I had no idea what I did. What could have happened to her? After a few hours the head nurse walked in my room. "Hello oliver how are you today?" She asked me while checking my clipboard, "What happened to Rose?" I responded, "Her father had died and she needs some time." She said. I remember when my father passed away when I was five. I was playing kickball with my friends while my father was at work. It was 11:45 am when my mom came outside and asked me to come inside. She sat me down in the living room and knelt down to me. " Oh my baby Oliver, I am so sorry but daddy had an accident at work. His heart stopped working while he was in a meeting. Honey, the doctors couldn't save him." She said while looking at the floor. Ever since that day I had learned to be strong and to not trust many people. My friends stopped hanging out with me, since I couldn't play kickball anymore. I was very lonely after my father died because I was very close to my dad. I ended up being my little brother's father figure for a while. He was only six months when dad died. My dad dying was probably one of the lowest times in my life. I don't want Rose going through what I did. She did give me her phone number last week so I decided to text her. Not surprisingly she didn't respond. I can't let her just isolate herself like I did. Because of that I ended up losing the ability to trust others. I know the kind of person she is and she is not the type of person that would shut people out. Rose is a beautiful, kind, warm hearted, and amazing person and I am going to do whatever it takes to help her.
