I ship this the least.
I mean no offense to the people who ship this.
It's because it kind of ruins a perfectly good friendship. In fact, a perfectly fantabulous friendship. I love how Qibli teases Winter and Winter pretends to hate him. Just great. But this banter is not romantic.
Sure, Qibli would help Winter lighten up, and Winter could help him... *can't think of a reason*. (Crap. Someone comment below a way Winter helps Qibli be a better dragon please! I legitimately want to put one in.)
But Moon didn't hear attraction thoughts in either of their minds, and neither of the books from their perspectives showed any sign of being attracted to one another.
Sure, Qibli jokes about marrying Winter, but come on. Guys that are best friends often pretend to be gay with each other. It's just nature.
And that is all they are: best friends.
