So basically this ship is really adorable and cute. They just go really well together.
Kinkajou provides Turtle with optomism to balance his worrisomeness, and Turtle can be a calm balance to her constant energy.
Also, Kinkajou thinks he's adorable, and also wants to wait and see what happens, so there is a very good chance that their relationship could grow.
But ack! The love spell! WHYYYYYY
It was just unnecessary. It would have been way way way better if this hadn't happened and instead Turtle confessed to Kinkajou right before giving Anemone his stick (or something). I dunno. But now people are using the argument of SHE ONLY FELT IT BECAUSE OF A LOVE SPELL which is kind of true, but she is still open to the feelings, okay!
I have also heard the argument that Turtle's crush was only put in his book so he could have a love interest, but actually, evidence of the crush shows up in Peril's book when he goes to Possibility to see her. And, technically, it couldn't show up in Moon's book because he had the Skyfire the whole time. So he probably has had his crush the whole time but we just didn't get to see it.
So, basically, Turtlejou is cute as heck and they will get married and have pink dragonets with webbed talons :3
