Williams POV:
Though I was looking at my phone, I was stealing glances of Cassandra in front of me. She was lost in her world in her thoughts. I thought of what I had overheard before, something like the Cassandra and Arthur running away from her house. But why did Cassandra have to run away from her perfect life, a life that other girls dream of, a life filled with luxury and comfort? What must have happened was that she had run away from her parents by the time I came back from my thoughts I saw she was missing and I was feeling bored as well, so I walked over to the oceanfront to admire it for a little while as water always gives me peace and the space to think.
As I walked over to the oceanfront, I saw Cassandra sitting in the sand all alone and lost in her thoughts like before. She has something in her that no other girl has, something that I have never seen in any other girl, something that is so unique. Then I hit what it was; it's the storm in her eyes. Though she is laughing and smiling around people, her eyes narrate a whole different story, a story filled with pain and sorrow. I wanna look at the storm in her eyes and relax it; I want to comfort her, make her feel everything is normal, but then if she is the same cold-blooded Cassandra as high school, then she....' I suddenly heard someone call me
And when I checked, it was CassandraCassandra: "William, William "
I was surprised she remembered me and also my name, but I didn't want her to know I remember who she is or anything; hence I'm planning on pretending like I don't know her
William: "Yes, ma'am."
Cassandra's face had changed when she realised I could not recognise her, but she immediately tried to make her face normal like she wanted to hide her emotions and started to talk
Cassandra: "Cassandra, that's my name."
William: "Cassandra, a lovely name for a beautiful girl, and it's a pleasure meeting you."
'What am I saying? Why am I saying all of this? I was never this nervous.'
Cassandra: "That's an ancient and cheesy line, William."
William: "I know it's old, but old is gold, Princess."
Cassandras face changes, and that's when I realised I made a big mistake; I just called her princess; it's the first time I called a girl a princess, leave aside princess it's the first time I'm giving a girl an endearment, but why am I doing this?
She starts to laugh loud
Cassandra: "Princess, huh?"
William: "My bad, Cassandra."
Cassandra: "It's fine, William, no need to apologise."
William: "Thank you, princess..... Cassandra"
Cassandra: "Uh, caught you again, William", she painted by pointing a gunfire gun at me
William: "Okay, I'm guilty,", I said lifting my hands
She started to laugh out loud, and she looked so happy and carefree for the first time. That's when her angelic eyes shined, and I kept staring at them, but I wanted to know the reason behind the storm in her eyes, so I started to ask
William: "So what brings you here, Cassandra."
Cassandra: "Just wanted to think in peace, and what's better than the ocean at providing peace."
William: "True that, but Monaco has way many more places that offer peace than the sea."
Cassandra: "Oh really, what else does it have to offer."
William: "You sure you want to explore?"
Cassandra: "Duh, I would be a fool if I do not want to explore Monaco?"
William: "Okay, then get ready by 6 in the morning."
Cassandra: "What do you mean?"
William: "I'll take you out to my favourite spot tomorrow."
Cassandra: "Are you sure?"
William: "You seem not to be sure if you want to explore, Ma'am."
Cassandra: "not like that William, I just don't want to be a burden on you, nothing more."
William: "It's fine, Cassandra your not a burden, and I want you to see that place."
Cassandra: "Okay, then six it is."
We heard someone call our names out, and it was Arthur; he was signing us to get back for dinner as we made our way back and sat in our spots; the food was served. We all had a pleasant dinner talking to each other and making more plans for the weekend. During our course of dinner, Cassandra and I shared a few glances. Daniel and I said our byes and left back to my place, and they all headed back to Charles. As I was driving, Daniel slept, and I only had one image constantly striking in my mind, and that was Cassandra's storm-filled eyes. As we headed back home, I put Daniel to bed and went back to the office to work. When the clock hit 3 am, I realised I needed some sleep and rolled into my bed, but when I closed my eyes, I could only see those beautiful brown eyes, the same eyes that have been haunting me since I first saw them, Cassandra's eyes.
