Chapter-12

Cassandra's POV

I have been with William for two days, and as every minute passes by, my hopes are falling low, but I don't want to lose him, I don't want him to leave me and go as the others did, and he means a lot to me at this point. I don't know if he realises or not, but what he did for me the morning he took me to the garden has not only boosted my confidence but it let me think in the clear. He made me realise I'm capable of being loved and pampered, which no man I have been with all these years did, they could not do a part of what he did, and he did it as if it was normal. He is so genuine and does not know how to cheat a girl. The small things which other supposed men cannot do for their love, he did just for his high school acquaintance. He might be called a playboy, but deep down, he is still the friendly William. After I learned, he has become so successful and that, too, without a family, my respect towards him has increased immensely. I know how much a person needs their family; even though I have one, they never stood up for me or thought about my feelings, and I know how it feels not to have your family support you in hard times. During these two days, I had done everything for William, from feeding him to cleaning him up, and now I'm scared he will get angry at me for doing all of that for him without his permission. And whenever I got bored, I started to draw sketches for my products. Everyone came back the following day, but Charles, Daniel and Arthur had to leave for Barcelona for their pre-season testing. Charlotte stayed back as Haley had to start working too, and Charlotte helped me pick up a few fabrics and accessories for my products. Charlotte sent me home to freshen up, and I was back very quick cause I was scared for Willaim, and I thought he would need me. After we had dinner, Charlotte left, and I was left to my thoughts. What if he wakes up and thinks, what am I doing here or if he gets pissed that I did everything for him. I don't know why I'm scared he would react wildly, but I still want to stay back with him and take care of him until he heals back to health.

Next-Day:

As I woke up, I saw Charlotte and Haley get into the room, and they had Coffee in their hands.

Haley: "betty, we grabbed a coffee for you," she said, giving me a tumbler

Cassandra: "thanks for the coffee babes, I need one very bad my head is blasting."

Haley: "this proves we are sister, your vibes reached us" we all laughed

Charlotte: "seriously, Betty, you should get home and rest for a while."

Cassandra: "no need Char, I went yesterday; that's sufficient."

Haley asked me the question I was scared they would ask anytime soon, and I was not ready to answer that one question

Haley: "why are you doing all of this for William? I mean, you met a few days ago?"

I remained silent, and I didn't want to answer now cause I'm not sure how he felt about me. I was bought out of my thoughts when suddenly Williams monitor started to fluctuate and make beeping sounds. Haley ran to get the nurse, and when the nurse came in, she asked

Nurse: "what happened, Ms Crawford?"

Cassandra: "something unusual, ma'am," I said in a confused tone

The nurse checked and ran out; after two minutes, the doctor came in and saw the fluctuations. He started to call me out

Doctor: "Ms Crawford, the nurse will guide you to the blood donation room; please go ahead quickly and get him some blood," he said, pointing at William

I started to run, and I heard the doctor talk to Haley

Doctor: "Ms, could you please accompany her? It would help her in filling the documentation, so the procedure gets quick."

After reaching the room and donating blood, Haley filled the documents out, and I signed them. By the time I went back, I only saw Charlotte sitting on the sofa sobbing. Haley went ahead and hugged Charlotte

Cassandra: "where is he, Char?"

Charlotte: " the doctor took him to the surgery room."

Cassandra: "why God, why me every time, don't I deserve to like a person keep aside love" I start to shout, and I feel very dizzy and fainted on the ground.

By the time I woke up, I had seen Charlotte and Haley were on either side of me, along with a nurse. I was not able to talk, but I put in all the energy I had to ask that one question I needed the answer to

Cassandra: "H...oooowww is Willlll...William ddoooiiing?"

Charlotte: "we're informed that the surgery was successful, and he is undergoing post-operative procedures."

I was happy that the surgery was a success, and I hope he opens his eyes soon, too, but for now, my eyes are closing into a deep sleep.

When I finally felt the energy to wake up, I woke up to check on Willaim, and I saw he was sleeping on his bed peacefully; when I went close, I saw he was normal but still looked like he was in Coma. I went and kissed his forehead and whispered 'I love you' in his ear. I suddenly felt someone hold my finger, and it was non-other than William. I suddenly started to run to the reception crossing Charlotte and Haley to call the nurse as William was getting his senses back. Charlotte and Haley looked confused, and I told them

Cassandra: "he is moving"

Both started to run back with me, and I saw his eyes open, and he kept calling Charlotte. I was hurt, but he did not know what I had done for him in his coma, so it's okay; he wants to talk to her first, and he does not need to know too.
