Chapter 2
Esther took these next two weeks personal and focused on herself. On the low, she'd been working on her mental health and it's been paying off.
She was feeling great and whenever she saw Elliot around the campus it wasn't awkward for her.
Elliot's POV
Esther seems to be recovering really well. But man, I miss her. She thinks I don't notice her around campus, but I see her.
As much as I want to run up to her and hug her, I am reminded that I can't, especially with Sophie in my arms. I hate that this fight
Esther is my best friend before anything and it hurts me not to speak to her.
Narrator
Esther just walked into her Philosophy 101 class and took her regular seat. That was until Elliot walked in and occupied the seat directly to her right side.
Esther wanted to move but didn't want to make it seem like she wasn't over him so she stay'd put.
About 15 minutes into the lecture, a note slipped on to her desk. She followed the hand it came from to see that of course it was Elliot. She grabbed the note and put it in her pocket without reading it.
Then five minutes later he slipped her another one and she just did the same thing.
When the professor dismissed their class she packed up and walked out. And yeah you guessed right, Elliot was right behind her.
Esther felt his presence shadowing her, she turned around and pushed him into the lockers.
"Fuck off Elliot, damn it." She spat out before storming away.
Elliot took a few seconds to gather himself, but he didn't like what he saw when he ran off to the direction she went in.
From a distance he saw Esther walking with some dude, hugged up. And boy did that make his skin boil.
Meanwhile Esther was indeed walking with the source of her happiness.
"How was Philosophy?" Ethan asked Esther.
"Good." Esther said dryly as she leaned her head against his chest.
Ethan noticed that something seemed to be bothering her so he grabbed her face gently, they did this not knowing Elliot was watching.
"Sweetie, are you okay?" Ethan asked her, searching her face for answers.
She ran her hand down his face, gently smiling.
"I'm fine babe, thank you" Esther said.
But she wasn't fine. The notes in her pocket from Elliot were burning a hole, and screaming "Read Me! Read Me!"
"Alright, I'm going to head to my 10'oclock class alright? Will you be okay?" He asked her to bring her into a hug.
"Of course, have fun, " Esther said, giving him a small smile before kissing him.
After Ethan walked away, Esther took a seat at the campus cafe pulling out her laptop to do her homework.
"Is this seat taken?" Someone asked her. Esther looked up to see that it was Sophie,
"No, go ahead." Esther said, assuming she was going to take the chair and go, instead Sophie sat down.
"How may I help you?" Esther asked annoyed.
