Chapter 6

Emiliano walked back into the party and felt the need to go home.

"Emily, I'm going home. You need a ride?" He asked his sister.

"No. You going to the house? Or to mom and dad's house?" She asked her brother.

"The house. I'm tired." He said

"Have you been drinking?" Emily asked

"No." Emiliano answered.

"Alright. Well I'm out too, I'm finished. I'll see you at home,I'm going to go tell Emma I'm out" Emily said.

Emiliano nodded and they parted ways.

By the time Emiliano reached his car he noticed his sister getting into her car next to him.

"Hey, I'm hungry. Let's go eat?" Emiliano said after he rolled down the window.

"Yeah, I'll follow you." Emily said to her brother.

When they reached Denny's they parked and hopped out, and walked to the restaurant together.

"Emmy, " Emily said as they sat down.

Emiliano looked up at her with questioning eyes.

"You can't." Emily said

"Can't what?" Emiliano said

"You know what Emiliano. Stop playing." Emily said

"Ugh" Emiliano said sighing. Just then a waiter came by and took their orders. After the waiter left the conversation picked up again.

"No matter how bad you want to swoop in and save the day, you know you can't Emiliano." Emily said

"Em, I know. But it's so hard just watching her get treated like that. Come on now Em, you've got to understand where I'm coming from." Emiliano pleaded to his sister.

"Emiliano, I get it but no. She doesn't need this right now. And it'll only cause drama between you and Elliot. " Emily said to him

"But Elliot's lying to her!" Emiliano shouted a little bit too loud. People were staring at them. Emiliano and Emily nervously smiled before putting their heads down.

"You think you could shout even louder next time?" Emily asked sarcastically.

"Sorry. It's just. He told her Ezra was working for bad people, uh hello. As if what he does isn't bad." Emiliano says

"That's their business Emiliano. Stop it. Promise me on this trip you won't try no stupid shit." Emily said, staring in his eyes.

Emily waited for an answer. Emiliano rolled his eyes before sighing.

"Fiiiine." He said, huffing out a breath.

Ethan

I woke up to my phone ringing, it was Esther. Esther and I have been talking on the low again, taking things really slow and honestly it's working out way better.

"Hello?" I say trying to clear my throat

"Ethan, come pick me up please, I need you" she said softly into the phone. Those three words was all I needed to hear and I was up and on my way to pick her up.

I pull up to the location she sent me, and it's a party.

Ethan wasn't too happy that he was picking up his girlfriend from a party, especially on a Friday night.
