Chapter 10

Esther then turned and opened her car door. Ethan stood there frozen. Confused.

Esther turned on the engine and backed out, with tears streaming down her face.

She made her way to his house to pack her stuff, sobbing now that she was alone.

She was hurt, again.

She was supposed to be the one carrying his baby.

She was supposed to be the one happy with Ethan.

She didn't know why bad things seemed to keep happening to her.

Once Ethan snapped out of his stage, he ran to his truck and gassed it all the way to his house.

When he got there he saw Esther's car parked in front of his driveway. He pulled up, turned his car off and ran in the house.

He raced upstairs to find Esther's clothes on the bed. The drawers she used, all opened, empty.

Damn near half her shoes that were in his closet were in her luggage on the bed.

"Esther, what is going on?!" He semi-shouted.

He walked into his closet to find Esther removing all her clothes from his closet.

"What are you doing?" He asked her, still confused.

Esther silently cried as she continued packing her stuff.

Ethan followed her as she took the clothes. And threw it on the bed.

She then went to the bathroom to gather her personal belongings, removing her things from his mirror, even her toothbrush.

"That's it." Ethan said, grabbing all the stuff in her hands and throwing it on the carpet.

"Esther, stop being childish. We need to sit down and talk about this! What is going on!!" He shouted.

And yet, all Esther heard was "child" and her heart broke.

Ethan pulled Esther to the bed and sat her down.

"Esther, what is the meaning of all of this?" Ethan asked, on the verge of breaking down.

"Ethan, I don't love you anymore" Esther lied sobbing as she said that.

"Don't lie to me baby." Ethan said, crying.

There goes that word again. When she heard the baby she lost it. She pushed Ethan, but ended up falling on him and began punching his chest.

"I hate you! I hate you ! I hate you!" She shouted with tears rushing down her face. Ethan eventually grabbed her arms sitting up, cradling her.

"Esther, relax! Tell me what I did!" He shouted.

Esther bolted up and continued to pack her clothes.

"Esther, you're not leaving me. I lost you twice already. I can't lose you a third time." Ethan said.

Esther huffed, and then breathed quickly trying to hold back a sob,

"Third times a charm. Maybe this time you'll lose me forever." She said softly. She picked up her luggage, just to have it pulled off of her grip by Ethan.

"You're not leaving here with this Esther. We need to talk about this! You're being selfish! You're not telling me what I did wrong!! I can fix it ! I promise!" Ethan said, tossing her luggage in his closet.
