You can see my arteries,
They run close to the surface.
You can feel my pulse,
As you trace my softest places.Like my wrist, when you cut it,
Then, make it look like a suicide.
And my neck, when you bite in,
And feast on my flesh. You can feel it beating faster,
It beats faster in your presence.
You know it, and you like it.
You like how you make it fast,
You feed on my fears.Makes you think you're stronger,
Makes you feel you're bigger.
But my fears are my burdens,
My fears of you are yours. Can't you see, we're electric, you and I.
We're electric, for you took my electrons,
For you took them, through the knives you stabbed my heart with.
We're electric, for you granted yourself me, thinking it would favour you,
But it slowed you down instead. You see, you're weaker for you took my pain, and gave me ease.
You're slower because of every burden you add,
Every burden, you took from me.
Hence now, I am stronger, for my burdens are no longer mine to bare,
I am faster, for my burdens no longer have the chains to keep me.
