Morro sat at the edge of the table, watching Zane prepare the meal. He was fascinated by how well he handled knives, cutlery, how vegetables were cut to perfection. Cole was sitting next to him, eating some cake. He was going to try to befriend him, find out his past. He was aware that Morro had attacked them and cursed a village, but now that he was a poor child, he deserved another chance.
"So, Morro.. what food do you like?"
"Sushi! With rice and tea!" Morro said with a smile, then slowly faded. "I think.. that's what I remember. I'm not sure..."
"It's nothing little one." He put his hand in the boy's straight black hair. "Zane," the Nindroid turned at hearing his name. "Could you make the little one sushi with rice and tea? Please?"
"Of course. I haven't made such a simple meal in a very long time." Zane didn't seem bothered by this, he was even excited.
Morro put his head on the table, thinking. He had the impression that he had done something wrong, that his coming here had ruined something. He was sad, his eyes blank.
"Are you ok?" The question echoed in his head, but he didn't know where. "Hello! Earth to Morro." Now he hear it.
"Hm? S-sorry..." He had sunk even deeper into sadness.
"Is OK." Cole had assured him. He had seen his posture, his sadness. "All good?"
"Yes, yes... everything is fine.." He closed his eyes quickly, feeling his body tremble.
Cole wasn't sure whether to touch him or not. He didn't even know what had happened. Risk. He took the little one in his arms.
"What... what are you doing?" Morro asked scared.
"Am I trying to make you feel better?"
"Oh.." He doesn't move at all. "I'm sorry.. I didn't want to make trouble. I'm sorry..."
Cole looked at him in surprise, he didn't expect that from the little brunette. He didn't think he would have a chance to see the great Morro apologizing, even when he was just a kid.
"Hey, you didn't create any problems. I already told you, it's something new for everyone." He had ruffled his hair, waking a small smile on the little one's face. "Another half hour and the meal will be ready. Do you want to do something until it's ready?"
Morro nodded. He just wanted to fix everything, but that's difficult when you're just a kid, who barely remembers anything, not knowing what he did in the past. He waited quietly for the meal to be ready. The little one noticed someone walking towards them, the person in red. Morro had grown small, afraid to see him, not to cause trouble.
"Cole, we need to talk." His voice was harsh and serious.
"Of course, about?"
"Alone." He emphasized the word, glancing coldly at the little one, who had begun to feel even more pressure on him.
Cole notices this and quickly gets up, a sign that he agrees with Kai. The two didn't go that far from the kitchen.
"What is Kai?"
"Are you really going to behave nicely to Morro?"
"Yes. Yes I will. Kai, he's just a kid. Don't you think he deserves another chance at life?"
"You know what he did to us! What he did to Lloyd!" He had begun to raise his voice.
"I know, I haven't forgotten, but seriously now... He's starting to apologize because he feels like he's broken something in our friendship group and he wants to fix everything... even if he doesn't remember anything. Kai, you'd be surprised. In fact, after me, you'll be the next to stay with Morro."
