BonniexToy Chica #1-Les Misérables

Above fanart by CutiePieAmy55 on DA. --- One thing I would like to note, in this chapter I will not be referring to Toy Chica as "Toy", like I do in my Freedom AU. Instead, she'll be referred to as "Cecilia/'Cilia".  Also, I have a weird animatronic/human earth thing going on to help the plot. (Another idea I got from Kitty_Toast's oneshot book-)

I tried my hardest to not copy this number word-for-word, but I think I did worse than last chapter. So, hopefully, it doesn't seem like lazy writing when I'm basically writing everyone's lines near identical to the musical number this scene is based on :,>

Okay, get your tissues and keep hands and feet inside the chapter at all times--the feels coaster is about to commence~

*mild blood warning*

*mild fourth wall break*

She wandered the dark, and rain-covered cobble streets of the city--hands deep in her tattered coat's pockets. She kept kicking at every small pebble she came across, splashing each puddle she walked over--her beak pointed downwards as she walked.

Cecilia was making the dangerous trek back to the barricade, where the animatronic soldiers of the revolution were hiding. Following the spark of the revolution, came a war between the humans in the European country, and animatronics. Hence why wandering the streets--whether by night, or day--could be dangerous. Cecilia would have to hope her outfit--consisting of a tattered brown coat, a worn white blouse and beige trousers, the spats on her feet and the rain-soaked flat cap--would keep her undetectable.

As for why she was wandering the city's streets at night? Bonnie had sent her off at sunset to deliver a letter to his "amour". He seemed to be afraid of not living to see the end of this war, and to not see his girl again. Cecilia had heard the girl's father--who said he'd make sure the letter would be delivered--read the letter upon receiving it. It sounded to be a love letter, but also a goodbye letter.

How she wished the letter were addressed to her. For all the years she'd known Bonnie, Cecilia had always had an affection for him. She'd always tried to gain his attention, let him know of her feelings. But, the rabbit only ever saw her as a very close friend--a friend he also took for granted.

Despite being out in the dangerous streets alone, Cecilia was wandering at a less-than-preferable speed. She would often wander the streets at night--even before the war--when they were devoid of people. Where she could live out the fantasy in her head, the fantasy of having Bonnie hold her in his arms, of promising his love to her.

But, when morning came, she would be once more reminded that yes, she loved him, but only on her own. And she'd have to move on with life, and continue being merely his friend. Hopefully, one day, Bonnie would finally stop being blind to her attempts at gaining his attention...

Cecilia finally looked forward, turquois eyes squinting and glowing in the rain. The path to the barricade wasn't far now, she was almost back. She continued, picking up her pace lest someone would notice her entrance to the revolutionists' barricade.

Gunshots suddenly rang through the streets.

The animatronics in the barricade were currently laying low--the enemy hadn't attacked them yet. Some were repairing or sharpening weapons, others were fast asleep. And some were watching over those who slept--especially over Luca. The poor boy had no family, and was caught up in the excitement of the whole revolution. Now, he was part of their army--and very enthusiastic about it.

(Many of the animatronics had a prayer for the boy every night before they went to sleep, that he would make it out of the war unharmed.)

Bonnie was sat on a chair near their barricade's entrance, sharpening one of their swords when the door swung open. He stopped what he was doing, looking over to see if a spy hadn't come barging in. Stood in the entryway, the purple rabbit saw Cecilia standing there--arms wrapped around herself, hunched somewhat and soaked in rain.

Bonnie's magenta eyes widened as he quickly stood from his seat. "What are you doing?!" He cried, as Cecilia slowly began stepping down the steps leading into the barrack. "'Cilia, have you no fear?" He changed the question, suddenly worried of something else.. "Have you seen my beloved? Why have you returned?"

"I-I took the letter--like you said." Cecilia began, approaching the rabbit while trying to smile as casually as she should. "I m-met her father at the d-door." She put a hand up to his shoulder for balance. "H-He said h-he would g-give it to h-her..." Her smiled, and balance faltered as Cecilia suddenly leaned against Bonnie. "I-I don't th-think I can s-stand... anymore..."

"'Cilia!" Bonnie carefully guided her to the floor, holding her shivering form against his chest--using a hand to support her head. When he put his hand to her head, he felt something wet. "What's wrong? 'Celia, there's something wet on the back of your... head..." He pulled his hand back, and it was covered in black oiled blood. "Y-You're hurt!" He pulled back the arm Cecelia had wrapped around her abdomen. There was blood soaked through her previously white shirt. "Oh, G-God, it's everywhere...!"

"D-Don't you f-fret, Monsieur," Cecelia suddenly started, a small smile on her face. "I-I don't feel a-any pain..." Bonnie could feel the tears begin to form at the corner of his eyes. "A-A little... f-fall of rain c-can h-hardly hurt me n-now..." She slowly brought a hand up to cup his cheek. "Y-You're here, a-and that's all I n-need to kn-know..."

  "... no." Cecelia continued--still shivering. "You'll k-keep me s-safe... and c-close..." He pulled her closer. "A-And rain... w-will make the f-flowers g-grow..."

"But, 'Cilia, you'll live!" Bonnie's eyes glanced up as he pleaded with, "Dear God, above...!" He looked back down to the dying chicken in his arms. "I-If I could heal you... with words of love-" She gave a small shake of her head. "J-Just... h-hold me now... l-let it be..." Cecelia was still able to hold her painless smile. "Sh-Shelter me... c-comfort me..."

"B-But, you should live a hundred years...!" Bonnie's gaze was wholly locked onto hers. "I-If I could only show you..." Cecelia's smile looked forgiving at hearing his apologetic tone. "P-Please, d-don't fret... Monsieur... B-Bonnie..."

"Y-You won't feel any pain." Bonnie promised her. "A little fall of rain c-can hardly hurt you now..." He recited, before adding, "I'm here."

"Th-That's all I n-need to know..." Cecelia assured him. "I will keep you safe, and I will keep you close," Bonnie promised next. "A-And rain..."

"And rain," He quietly mimicked. "W-Will m-make..." Cecelia's breathing suddenly stopped, as her turquoise eyes fell shut. Her hand that had been cupping Bonnie's cheek slowly fell limp against her own chest. "... the flowers grow..." Bonnie quietly finished, tears finally falling down his face.

Bonnie pulled up Cecelia's limp form closer, and gently pressed a kiss to her beak. He then began sobbing, tears falling onto her.

"She was the first to fall," Freddy's voice began, as he stood over the two--addressing the audience. (You.) "the first of us to fall, upon this barricade." Bonnie's now-horse voice added with, "Her name was Cecelia..." Foxy continued, looking down to his fellow soldier. "We fight here in her name." Freddy knelt down next to Bonnie, putting a hand on his shoulder. "She will not be betrayed."
