PuppetxBallora #2-Les Misérables

Above image by Detective-Puppet on DA.  I would just like to disclaim, this isn't connected to the last chapter. Yes, it's the same musical, but no, it's not the same cast. Roles have been changed, even tho you won't notice unless I outright say so.

Again, trying to do a written parody of a musical number from Les Misérables is really hard, because nobody speaks in that performance. Is singing only! So, I  try my best :,)

I also decided to feature a character or two from one of my Freedom AU books because it fit so well. (And I felt like writing another reason as to why he should be whooped with his own whip-)

One more thing, there is zero confirmation if these guys are animatronics or no, as the revolution I mentioned last chapter isn't 100% relevant in these scenes. So, um....

OKAY! Enough ranting, onto the actual story!

This evening's cast:

[Puppet/Valjean, Ballora/Fantine, Mina(Minireena)/Cosette, Toy Bonnie & Mangle/Doctor & Nurse, Charles White/Monsieur Thénardier,  Kimberly White/Madame Thénardier]

~Hope you have your tissues from last chapter~

The white-furred fox gently pressed the freshly soaked cold compress to the feverish woman's forehead--brushing stray strands of violet hair away from her pale skin. As she made sure the cool, wet cloth wouldn't fall onto the pillow, the fox watched as the woman's gaze seemed to be caught by something in the room.

"Mina," She began, holding her hands close to her chest as if cold. "I-It's turned so c-cold..." Vixen followed the woman's gaze. No one was there. The fox then looked over her shoulder to the doctor, who was stood just outside the room--talking to someone. Vixen made certain once more that the compress would not fall, before getting up from the side of the bed--going to see the doctor.

Ballora didn't take notice of the nurse's leave, as she kept her sight on her young daughter before her. "Mina...! It's p-past your bedtime..." The hallucination of her daughter simply stayed still, giving her mother a small and innocent smile. "Y-You've played the d-day away," Ballora continued to say, voice weak from her illness. "I-It'll soon be night..."

A new person entered the room, stopping a few feet from the bed. He simply watched the sickly woman before him--taking notice of where Ballora was looking. Nothing was there, save for the tapestry hung on the wall.

Ballora slowly reached a hand out towards the hallucination, her weak body trembling from the fever. "C-Come to me, Mina," She called. "The l-light is fading...!" He watched the sight before him with compassion, despite the sad look in his dark eyes. Ballora glanced towards a nearby window. "D-Don't you see the evening star appearing?"

Her pink, blood-shot eyes looked back to her daughter. Patting her shoulder lightly, she called with, "C-Come to me, and rest against me shoulder." Ballora's gaze then shifted to no particular spot on the wall for a moment. "H-How fast the minutes fly away... a-and every minute c-colder..."

Puppet came and sat on her bedside. "Ballora..." He gently started, placing a hand on her arm--immediately met with heat radiating from her skin. "We're running out of time." Ballora's pink and glassy eyes met his own dark eyes for a brief moment. "But, I swear this on my life-"
