Third pov

The winter in Russia really wasn't something to laugh at. Ray was incredibly thankful that mrs Shaw had not only made sure she had a good car, but also warm clothes.

From where she sat she could see a small group of people a lot further away. Judging by the cars they were most likely her team. She didn't approach, both because they were far away and because she's not sure that they'd know it's her.

She did just disappear from the scene last time they saw Dom.

"I'm sorry guys."

"Do you really think Ray went rogue?"

Rome shrugged. "I dunno. There's a possibility, but I doubt it. She wouldn't go rogue without a reason."

Hobbs turned to him. "Rome, I know she's your friend. But if she has gone rogue, I might have to take her out."

Rome snorted. "Good luck."

Watching while everything is going on is hard. It makes a small ball of guilt bounce inside her.

She's just following Dom in the distance, her white car hidden relatively well.

"Stay alive guys. Please."

Dom's car is holding a steady course. It stopps at a vantage point that overlooks the water.

She parks her car as soon as she sees Rhodes getting in.

"Come on, show us she's safe." She mumbles, eyes on the phone she'd gotten. "Come on Deckard. You were faster than this while trying to mess up our lives."

While waiting she sees the redheaded man get out and set up something.

She sees the rifle.

He's going to kill them.

"Screw this." Ray grabs her own rifle and gets out of the car. She can still see the phone screen from where she's standing.

The screen lights up.

She's safe

Never would she have thought she'd be happy to hear from a Shaw after their history.

She could see Dom getting out and sent him a mental; Sorry Dom, this one's mine.

With steady hands she set her sights on Rhodes and pulled the trigger.

Rhodes fell, the blood making the snow around him red and Dom's head snapped in her direction.

She raised a hand and waved.

As soon as he saw Ray get back into her car, Dom did the same.

"Rhodes?"

"Rhodes is no longer with us. He picked the wrong target."

He wondered for a brief second if he should pour salt in the wound and tell her who'd killed him.

"Congratulations, Dom. You just killed your daughter."

"You're wrong. I just saved her. And you just took your foot of the tigers neck."

He sped straight of the cliff, quickly noting that his wife was straight on his heels.

The appearance of two friendly cars saving their asses was a welcome one, if a little odd.

Rome looked into the white one to see Ray giving him a smile before she sped up.

It was definitely a relief to see that she hadn't been taken by Cipher.

Ray tried to get further ahead but a rumbling from the ice underneath them had her worried.

Her jaw practically fell to the floor when the submarine she'd seen earlier burst up from the ice right behind her.

"This bitch is crazy."

Trying to hold your car steady while the ground is being crushed beneath you didn't count to anything she'd ever thought she'd do.

"Oh no, that's not good."

Ray was bouncing around in her seat while trying to find a button that might help her.

Dom in turn, was further ahead and switching between watching in front of him and looking back to Ray. He had full faith she'd find a way out of the situation.

And he was right, soon enough she'd gotten a boost and drove side by side with him.

"That's my girl."

"You loose, Dom." Ciphers triumphant tone is clear.

Dom chuckled. "I destroyed two of your teams, my wife killed your redheaded boyfriend and I put two killers on your untraceable plane. You lost the minute you interupted my honeymoon."

"Now, guess who I'm coming for."

Ray saw the missile heading towards them and Dom signaled for them to turn off.

She's not very happy about it but she does, following Dom's car with her eyes.

Cold, hard dread gripped her heart when his car was flung into the air. A quick decision had her turning her car and heading towards him. She doesn't actually know if she'll survive this, but she has to try.

She barely has the time to see the other cars also circling Dom before the fire is around them.

The story is almost over.
