Chapter 4

Ray pov

Think Ray, think.

What happened before Dom left?

What happened when he went to the store....?

He was different after, so something happened between then and when he came home.

Dom's face flashes in my mind as i recall the last time we talked.

"I'll see you when this is over."

He had looked so sure. But maybe he didn't mean after the Berlin heist?

What if he meant something else?

What the hell am i supposed to tell Brian and Mia? Hello my lovely family members with shit on your plate already, can you continue looking after Angelis while i chase her father down and stop him from working with a terrorist?

I feel my head start to hurt about the time we reach the room where they plug in God's Eye.

Third pov

Ray leaned against the glass wall beside Hobbs and Mr Nobody.

She wasn't surprised when God's Eye couldn't find it's target. If Cipher's as good as they say then it wouldn't be that easy.

"See, simple solutions ain't gonna cut it here, slick." Junior Nobody gave Roman a look.

Roman looked offended. "Why do you look at me when you say that?"

"Wait, simple solutions might actually cut it. You see, in order for God's Eye to give off all these falls pings, means they have to be using a FLEA relay."

Ray smiled. She loved her team and right now she's incredibly proud of them.

"Which means it has a decaying sync randomizer."

Ray chuckled from her place beside Hobbs earning a raised eyebrow. She just smiled. "I love my team."

She turned her head back to see God's Eye pinging Dom's location.

Mr Nobody spoke. "Well, that's interesting."

Ray looked at him. "Why is it interesting?"

"Because that's here."

No one could say anything else since the door to the room exploded, shockwaves sending most of them to the ground.

Hobbs took one of the smaller grenades sent in their direction and threw it away. Ray saw more of them being shot all over the room, and when they blew up it felt like her skull was going to explode.

She fell, landing a few meters away from Hobbs, small pieces of glass in her hair and cutting into her bare arms. She let out a pained moan and grabbed her head.

She heard/ saw two people enter the room but she couldn't really hear much over the ringing in her head. One of them shot the glass behind her and she wanted to cry, her head hurt so bad. She held one of her ears and looked up to see Dom.

She had mixed feelings. Sure, she wanted her husband back but what the hell is he doing this for. Her eyes focused on the gun that had stopped, pointed at her. Was he going to shoot her?

The gun went away from her as the woman grabbed God's Eye.

Ray's ears was still ringing as she watched her husband walk away. "Dom!"

He stopped and she managed to use the stairs to prop herself up. "You're turning your back on us, on family, just like that?"

Ray wanted to strangle the blonde woman as she came back. Her eyes looked Ray over before she kissed Dom.

And he let her.

The woman said something and began walking. Ray felt tears build in her eyes as Dom looked at her one last time, before the two walked away leaving that part of the building in ruins.

Ray felt her head become heavier as she held back tears. Everything just hurt and she wanted to sleep everything away. Maybe watching her husband kiss someone else wouldn't hurt so bad if she wasn't awake to think about it.

Nausea built up to the point where she began dry heaving. She hadn't eaten much the last 24 hours.

By the time other agents came to help she knew she was in a really bad shape and it would probably stay that way for a good while.
