Fast Betrayal

Chapter 3

Third pov

Mr Nobody and Hobbs entered the room. Ray looked at Hobbs.

"They got you, huh?"

"Yeah, how come you're not wearing cuffs?" Hobbs asked as he took the chair beside her.

"After i knocked the third guy to the floor they realized putting me in cuffs wouldn't be possible." She said dryly with a look thrown to Nobody Junior.

Hobbs chuckled.

Ray turned back to the other conversation. "If you're nobody who's he? Nobody Junior?"

"Him? He's nothing. He's less than nothing."

"Clearly, we're getting nowhere with nobody." Rome said. "I've been in here for four hours and my ribs are showing. I don't know about y'all, but I'm out." He went for the door.

"I wouldn't recommend that."

Rome stopped. "Why not?"

Mr Nobody sighed theatrically. "Well, thanks to your botched Berlin job, you all made Interpol's Top 10 wanted list."

Ray bit back her laugh when Nobody Junior pointed to her. "She made five."

"Six." Hobbs.
"Nine." Tej.
"Ten." Ramsey.

Rome looked so offended she couldn't help but smile.

"How about we focus on someone we aren't going to find on anybody's list." Mr Nobody clicked on something and a picture showed up on the monitor in the room. "We're awaiting hard confirmation, but i believe that's the cyber terrorist known as Cipher."

"Wait. No, no. Cipher is an organization not a person." Ramsey shook her head.

"Not according to our sources." Junior Nobody said.

"What does she want?"

"No one knows. Cipher is like the digital act of God. They- well she can manipulate world systems from the shadows. Anything you can hack is hers to play with."

"And here's the kicker. You will never find her connected to anything. Her digital footprint is scubbed every few seconds, worldwide."

Ray was growing restless. "And what the hell does this have to do with anyone of us?"

Mr Nobody shrugged. "I don't know Ray. Might be nothing, but i do find it curious that now, she is working with this guy." He clicked and another picture showed. This time of someone they knew well.

Dominic Toretto.

A lot of things went through her head but one thing stood out.

There would be many questions for him to answer.

Ray shared a look with Hobbs, he sighed seeing the look in her eyes.

"He's already delivered a fully operational EMP into her hands." Junior Nobody began.

"Detonate that, they can turn any city in the world into a war zone." Mr Nobody finished.

Ray only listened with one ear as Deckard walked in. Her eyes stayed on the picture of her husband. The cold cross around her neck burned and she pushed back the feeling of betrayal. Instead the got up just as Hobbs and Deckard went up in each other's faces.

She went between them before Mr Nobody got a chance. "We get it. You want to find Cipher and you want to kick Dom's ass. You know the fastest way to get to do that? Find Dom!" She looked at both of them. "You two aside from Mr Nobody over there, are the only assholes that has managed to track him down. Not even i can do that and he's my husband, so like it or not you two are working together!

Even Deckard had been thrown off guard at her words. (Though he was the best at hiding it)

Satisfied with them not insulting each other she stepped back. "I'm taking that as quiet acceptance."

Roman, being the first to get over Ray stepping between two fully grown men like they were kids, took a look at the screen. "Am i the only one seeing this?" He made shushing noises as Junior Nobody said something. "Use Gods eye. We put our lives on the line running around the world trying to figure things out. It can find anyone, right? Let's use it to find Dom."

Ray let herself sink into her thoughts again, only looking up as Roman led her into another room where they tried God's eye.
