Fast Betrayal

Chapter 7

Third pov

Ray stares into nothing while Nobody Junior searches everywhere he can for Dom.

Now that the hurt had simmered down a bit, still there but she could still think clearly, her thoughts had started spinning.

She wouldn't let Dom walk away. Not like that and not with her. She will find him and drag him back kicking if she has to, because there is no way she will let him just do this to her. And if he abandon his daughter she'll make sure he knows just who he married.

Because she is Ray Angelis Toretto and will not take this shit. And if he by some miracle has a good excuse for this then she'll hear him out before kicking his damn ass.

And she will tear Ciphers fucking hair out when she sees her.

This is her family. Her pack.

And no one messes with her family.

Mr Nobody and Hobbs had been watching Ray as her demeanor twisted into something angry but still sad

She looked like she was going to break someone's neck.

Even Shaw had to admit that as he took a glance at her.

Rome just sat back. The only thing he could do now was make sure she didn't spiral without her support system. The little episode earlier didn't raise his confidence that she'd come out of this okay.

"Damn it. She wiped it all. Took God's eye. That was the one thing we could use to find them. We lost everything." Nobody Junior looked ready to throw in the towel.

Hobbs looked at Shaw. "What do you got princess?"

"Looking for Toretto. But i got a couple minutes to spare if you want me to send you to the hospital. Again."

Hobbs chuckled. "Yo, rules."

"First of, that's not my name." Nobody Junior said as he looked at the cop.

Rome chimed in. "Little Nobody."

"Don't call me that."

"Nobody Junior."

The poor guy sent her a glare. "Or that."

"Oh, those are definitely sticking." Tej chuckled.

"Great. Do me a favour and tell Your Majesty over there that we're gonna find Toretto. We're gonna find Toretto as a team and when we do I'm happy to slap that whisker biscuit right off his face."

Ramsey broke in. "Wait a minute, i think Deckard's actually on to something. How do you think Dom and Cipher got into the country without us knowing? Ghost flights."

Ray was listening with half an ear as they discussed the ghost flight Dom and Cipher had used. She needed to figure out how to check in with Brian without alerting him.

Before they went to get ready for traveling Rome put a hand on her shoulder. "How you holding up?"

The question is easy and Ray shruggs. "Not feeling the most stable but not ferling like I'm about to go into PTSD episode either."

"Tell me if you feel any worse, okay? I know Dom and Brian usually are your safety net, but if i can help then i want to do so." Rome looks serious as he says it.

She gave him a small smile. "I will. Thank you."

Time skip

Ray could safely say that traveling in a truck transporting fish was less than fun.

Although Roman's complaining made it a lot funnier.

And the garage they went into nearly had her in cardiac arrest.

So many cars.

So many beautiful cars.

Sooooooo maaaaaannnnyyy-

"Ray, you're drooling."

The group watched in amusement as the blonde was quick to close her mouth.

Hobbs chuckled. "It's the agency garage. They call it the Toy Shop."

Nobody Junior spoke. "This is where we house every vehicle seized from drug dealer on the Easy Coast. Now, Mr Nobody said that if we're gonna catch Dom, we're gonna have to be damn fast. Figured this would help."

Ray looked around until her eyes went to a silver skyline and she walks up to it, the others staying behind her.

The car looks exactly like the one she'd raced with years before. Back when she first met Dom and her life was a mess.

A small, deep scratch in the hood catches her attention however.

It doesn't just look like her old car.

It is her car.

"Mr Nobody said you'd find this one."

Nobody Junior came up to her as the older woman touched the hood. "It's my old car..."

Nobody junior held out keys to her. "He asked me to give these to you. Says it's a gift."

Ray took the keys and smiled. "I don't know how you found it, but thank you."

Nobody Junior let her have her reunion with the car as he went to argue with Roman about the neon orange car.

While she's looking inside it her phone starts ringing.

Ray looks at it to see Mia's caller ID.

"Mia? How-"

"Ray we need help. They came while i was out with Jack. I don't know what they wanted but they nearly killed Brian and took Angelis. I don't know what to do- they're still watching us. I know they are that's why i haven't been able to call."

Ray had frozen on the way out of the car as something clicked.

Someone hurt her brother. Someone took her daughter. They were watching Mia, Jack and Brian.

Dom's sudden decision to go rouge.

She wanted to hit herself. They hadn't wanted to involve Brian and Mia but they were involved before any of them

"Mia. Listen to me. I'm going to get you two somewhere safe, i promise. But you need to be strong until then, okay? Can you tell me what condition Brian is in?"

"He goes in and out of consciousness, concussion, his left arm and collarbone is broken, broken nose. It's all I've been able to check without being able to take him to a hospital."

The line went quiet for a moment before Mia mumbled a sorry and hung up.

Ray stared at her phone.

She couldn't tell the others this. It would tip Cipher off. She couldn't afford that.

Now the question was how she was going to help her brother, sister in law and nephew.

She looked out of the car to see everyone occupied with their own things.
