Ruby's POV
I slowly opened my eyes and saw the sun shining brightly. I blinked away the drowsiness, a pain appeared in my head while I squinted against the bright light, and I looked around to find anything familiar. When I saw Yang on the ground beside me, I jumped up and leaned over her.
"Yang, wake up! Are you alright!?" I shouted while I shook my older sister. She groaned, but didn't open her eyes, and I sighed. At least she's alive! Then I realized- she must be injured or sick! She didn't usually act like this! I quickly grabbed her and threw her over my shoulder, then ran with my semblance, hoping to find a nearby town. I ended up at humongous gates and ran inside without thinking, trying to calm down my nerves. I need to stay calm. This place looks well guarded, but anything can happen if grimm get involved. As I stopped to take a calm breath, I was called by some weird looking men.
"Hey, you! Stop right there!" They called, so I turned to them.
"I already stopped, though.."
"State your name and business," A guy with a bandage over his nose commanded.
I did my best to keep calm, but spoke hurriedly regardless. "I don't know where I am and I woke up and found my sister Yang sleeping beside me so I tried to wake her up and she would only groan so I think something's wrong with her because she usually doesn't act like this so I came here looking for someone to help us!" I finished explaining, breathing heavily.
They looked shocked. "What?"
"My sister needs help!" I shouted, angrily, still barely able to hold Yang up. They seemed to finally understand the situation (even though what was wrong should have been obvious) and one of them called for their leader while the other grabbed Yang and carried her off.
"The Hokage would like to speak with you, please follow me," the bandage guy told me. I was a bit worried, but hoped this would give me a chance to get answers.

I stared at an old man, who looked very wise, while I stood in front of him.
"What is your name?" He started off.
"Ruby Rose, the girl I came in with was my sister, Yang Xiao Long."
"How did you get here?"
"I don't know, I was fighting someone with my team, team RWBY, which Yang is also a part of, then I suddenly blacked out. When I woke up, I was here with my sister, but no sign of my other friends."
"I see... Are you both good in battle?"
I smiled and babbled bashfully, "Well, I mean, I believe so but we could still learn a bit more and improve, hehe.."
"Then I would like to see how well you are. Who knows, maybe you and your sister have a decent chakra network or a kekkei genkai.." He seemed to mumble the last bit to himself, but I still heard it.
"A decent what?"
The old man seemed surprised."You've never heard of chakra? Strange..." He then explained to me in full detail what chakra was.
"Oh, cool, that sounds a bit like aura honestly.." I stated. He narrowed his eyes, as if he realized something, but then smiled when he saw my confusion. What was that?
"Well, I believe I can be of assistance to you and your sister. I'll allow you to stay in the village, as long as you meet with teachers to train and take missions for us as payment. I'll also help search for your other friends, in case they are here, too."
I stared at him for a moment, baffled, before saying, "Oh, uh..that's really nice of you! Yang and I would appreciate it."
He gave me keys to an apartment, and some money, telling me that we would each get money every month until we started missions. I began to walk back to our new place and stored my scythe away. I'll figure out things at our new home first, then I'll check on Yang at the hospital.
