(Skipping to the chunin exams. Don't want to go through the never ending Zabuza saga again -_-' ) Wow, baby me didn't know what a never-ending saga truly was..Maybe I'll make a spinoff chapter about random crap from the Zabuza arc..

It's been a few years since we became genin. So far it's been fun, but we still haven't found any clues about why we've been brought here. I'm starting to think it wasn't for a particular reason, that we were brought here by mistake and now we're stuck. It hurts to think that.. I don't want to believe we'll never see remnant again. No more Penny, dad, Uncle Qrow.. I won't be able to visit my mom's grave anymore..

My team is one of the reasons I was able to ignore the pain I felt. For now, I see them as my family, and I try to view Konoha as a home away from home. We were currently walking in the village, having just gotten back from a mission and trying to figure out what to do in our free time. It was just Naruto, Sakura and I, Sasuke had just rejected Sakura and was leaving. I sighed, wondering where Yang was. I wanted to train a bit more, and, maybe, discuss what else we might have found about our world.

"Ruby!" Oh, there she is! I smiled, turning and waving to my sister.

"Hey Ya-" I started, but was cut off from Yang squeezing me in a hug.  "Yang.. Please..! Can't- breathe..!" I gasped for air as she finally pulled away.

"We haven't been able to just hang out and talk in so long, I missed you!"

"I missed you, too! Have you found anything out about Remnant?" I smiled eagerly.

"Uh, no not really.." I dropped my head and let out a groan as she messed with her hair.

"Me neither.."

"Well..let's not talk about that for now. Are you guys competing in the Chuunin exams?" She asked

"The... what exams?"

"The Chuunin exams! You know, exams you take to become a Chuunin-class ninja?"

"Never heard of it so, probably not.." I said, watching Sakura try to murder some kids Naruto was playing with. I look back at Yang, about to say something, when I heard someone yell. I quickly turned back around to find Konohamaru being held from his collar by a guy with a black suit that had what looked like cat ears.

"Hey, punk! What do you think you're doing?" He asked.

"Come on, Kankuro. Let the kid go," a girl with blonde hair in four ponytails said. "We wouldn't want to cause trouble in another village."

"Exactly. Plus, he's just a kid! What, do you think you'll impress someone if you beat him up? I think not," A strangely familiar voice chipped in.

Kankuro scoffed, "Shut it, Weiss. It's not like I would try to impress anyone, much less you!"

I froze, turning to Yang. She seemed more focused on watching Kankuro's movements, I don't think she was paying attention to his words. I walked up around them, sure enough finding a white haired girl with a cute ponytail next to the blonde. "W-Weiss?"

"Ruby?" She asked, turning to look at me.

I smiled and run up to hug her. She caught me, stepping back a bit to avoid falling. "You're here! You're really here! I thought you-"

"You thought we were dead, didn't you?" I heard another girl say. Blake was smiling at us with her arms crossed. "How painfully predictable of our leader."

"Wait, Blake? Hey, long time no see!" Yang smiled, smacking Blake on the back. Blake chuckled, nodding back to her in greeting.

I heard the struggling of Konohamaru, almost forgetting about him. I smiled up at Weiss, "Hold on a second, I'll be right back!" I said, finally letting go of her to walk over to Kankuro, who looked down at me with a slightly scary expression. "Excuse me, can you let him go?"

"Why should I?" He asked with a smirk. He then flinched, shaking his hand after a pebble came in contact with it, knocking Konohamaru out of his hand. I used my semblance to catch the kid before he hit the ground, placing him down beside Naruto. I smiled at his and pat his head. "Where did these rose petals come from?" Kitty man asked as he looked around him.

"Me!" I shouted, waving from my spot childishly before giving him a serious look. "It's not cool to bully children, so leave him alone!"

"How did you...?" He asked.

"How did I what?" I asked.

"He's asking about your speed," Sasuke said. I looked up at the branch from a tree, that happened to be right next to me, and saw him sitting on it while tossing a pebble in his hand.

"Oh, hey Sasuke!" He rolled his eyes at me.

Then, an unknown voice spoke, "Kankuro, Temari, what do you think you're doing?"

"W-well, we... uhhh..." Kankuro started. He was cut off by a red head guy that had something on his back, a gourd?

"Hey Blake? Who is that guy?" I whispered, walking back over to her and the other girls. I hugged Weiss again, earning a groan from her, and kept my attention on Blake.

"He is my teammate, Gaara."

"Oooooh," I said, and looked up at him with a big smile. "Helloooo!!!!" I yelled with a friendly wave. He looked at me, confused, then put his attention back onto the other two, ignoring me. I let go of Weiss and crossed my arms, unsatisfied with his response.

"I'm sorry for the trouble they may have caused," He said to Sasuke, who glared at him. Gaara jumped off the tree, and landed by Blake. He walked over to his other teammates, "We need to go, Kankuro, Temari, Checkmate." he said, and started walking away.

Before Blake left, I asked her, "Checkmate?"

"It's mine and Weiss's code name. Like you had it, remember? The Sand villagers call us that to avoid confusion, and it stuck to make the enemies of the Sand least suspect us both having the same title," She replied. I nodded, then became a bit solemn.

"I wish we were still a team..." I said.

"We are! As long as we're alive, every one of us will always be a member of team RWBY," Blake smiled, patting my head. "We might fight as a team together sometime soon, you never know. Hope to see you guys at the exams," She waved at us and walked off to catch up to her teammates.

After the ordeal, we all went our separate ways until Kakashi called us to a meeting. We were waiting for him, somewhat impatient. He finally arrived, and Naruto and Sakura yelled at him. Just the usual.

"Good news, you're going to the Chuunin exams!" He said with a smile.

"YEEEESSS!!/YAAAAYYY!!" Naruto and I yelled.

I'm gonna change the exams a lot soo...yeah. Lesgo
