A\N Sorry, purpleflamestar is the one I dedicated this chapter to for her never ending support.  brought the fact that I didn't specify ages in the first chapter. Thank you! Now Yang is 12, Ruby is 10, and Blake and Wiess are 12 as well. Now that that's cleared up, enjoy the story!

Beep...

That was all I heard as consciousness kicked in. I couldn't see a thing, I couldn't feel much, and I felt like I could hardly breathe. Where am I? I questioned, opening my heavy eyes to blinding light.

"Ruby?" I heard a voice say. I don't wanna, I'm still tired..

"Ruby..." There it is again. Leave me alone, I groaned internally, eyes drooping back down.

"Ruby!" I snapped fully awake and looked around in a panic.

"What!? What happened!? Are we being attacked!?" I hastened my movements, though I couldn't sit up for long before falling back into the bed. I noticed a shadow, a blur, standing above me. My vision cleared, and I was surprised to see Sasuke. "Wh-where's Yang...?" I asked.

"She went with our team to the ramen shop," He responded, voice returning to it's usual tone.

"Then, why aren't you with them?" I asked. He looked away from me, staring out the window for a second, before back to face me.

"I wanted to make sure you were okay first," He responded. "To be honest, I figured you'd be an idiot and think you were abducted or something."

I glared lightly, "You talk like it isn't possible for me to start to understand my surroundings! Geesh, I know I'm technically younger than you right now, but you don't have to treat me like a kid!"

"Technically..?"

"Uh.." I cleared my throat. "Anyway, Yang- Oh no...She didn't kill anyone, did she!? Oh, man! If she didn't have access to killing me, does that mean she killed Kakashi instead!? IS KAKASHI OKAY-!?"

Sasuke clicked his tongue and covered my mouth. "Shut up, idiot. Yang didn't kill anyone, why do you think she would?"

"Because she's always warning about this, and, since it happened, I figured she'd be upset we didn't listen to her."

The conversation ended quickly as doctors came in to check up on me. One of the nurses apparently heard me be very much awake, so she informed the doctors for us. They did a few physical tests, but ended up deciding I can go home, saying I should be fine after some rest.

I walked into the night and stretched, feeling happy to breathe fresh air of the wild again. Sasuke rolled his eyes, then walked ahead. "Hey, where are you going?" I asked.

"You want to eat, right? Yang and the others are getting food, I feel like you'd be better off finding her first. I don't want to babysit you all the way home."

I pouted, "For someone who sees me as a nuisance, you sure talk to me a lot.."

He ignored me, part of me believes it was to prove a point but who am I to assume? He continued walking and I followed him, embracing the calm of the moonlight guiding us to our next destination.

Heyyy, so I want to be clear. Since I know "blank X blank" Can be misleading, I want to inform everyone that I am not going to mean that in a romantic sense, not for this book. I'm not twelve anymore, so it feels weird to write about 10-12 year olds falling in love. (Mainly because they're too young to understand what love is, but also because I know that it's really fucking weird). This book is mainly going to be how they build relationships with the other characters in this world and eventually, when they're older, start to understand what love is in a more mature sense.

TL;DR: I don't want to be falsely called a pedo because of something I wrote when I was twelve, so there's no romance for a long ass time.
