For the kingdom
For my people
That's what I said
I have regrets
I try not to let them in my head
Her eyes; blue
Her soul; dark
Her icy words
They are hard to ignore
Maybe she should leave
But then I'd be sore
For what started as a spark
Burst forth a mighty flame
The passion
The love
The unbearable pain
I should've known she wouldn't stay
It was all an act
She disappeared in the dimming light
Leaving me in my place;
As if she won the fight
I loved you
