Five years have passed, yet we are still struggling and running for survival. Limang taon na pala ang nakalipas, but I still dwell with the past. I cannot let go. The fact that we lost our loved ones still haunts me. The fact that I lost William is killing me.
Andaming nawala at nawalan. The peace we once had had vanished as if it didn't exist.
"Acey, puwede ba akong pumasok?" Raine asked behind the closed door.
"Sure." Raine entered the room with Sonia sleeping in his arms.
"She's asleep; hindi pa sana siya matutulog kaso napagod na sina Ralph at Shamaiah sa pakikipag-usap sa kaniya. Hindi nawawalan ng tanong eh," Raine said. Kinuha ko si Sonia mula sa kaniya saka ito inihiga sa kama.
"At ikaw pa talaga ang pinagbuhat nila ha?" I jokingly asked. It's been three years, so we concluded that Sonia is three years old. Sa loob din ng tatlong taon na iyon, nakilala na namin ang totoong Raine.
Raine was Tiara's senior in the laboratory. He was also the one who saved Tiara from the rotter woman that she saw at the laboratory. He was sent by his father to spy on Dr. Smith.
"Tara sa labas," aya niya sa akin, kaya agad akong sumunod. Alas nuwebe pa ng gabi ang curfew sa village, kaya nakaugalian na naming tumambay sa labas gabi-gabi. Sa totoo lang, strikto ang pamamalakad ng lider nila rito.

We had no idea. Raine was unaware.
Nang makarating kami sa likod ng bahay, naabutan namin sina Tiara, Sham, Ralph, at Wilson na nag-uusap at kaagad din silang tumahimik nang dumating kami.
"Where are they?" tanong ko nang mapansin kong wala sina Zero at Geronimo.
"Ahh, Roland called them. Napapadalas na nga eh, ano sa tingin ninyo? I heard something," dire-diretsong saad ni Ralph, kaya nakuha niya ang atensyon ko.
"May pagka-tsismoso ka pala, 'tol." Panunukso naman ni Wilson sa katabi.
"Seryoso nga kasi. I heard from some of Roland's men that the Wolf team will be back this week." Wala ni isang nagsalita sa amin dahil alam na namin kung ano ang susunod na mangyayari kapag may mga babalik.
"That means babalik na sina Sam at Jonex?" Sham asked with her furrowed brow.
"The team that Roland sent to look for a new hideout; it looks like they failed because I heard that only the three of them survived," Ralph answered, which made us feel tense. Kung ganoon, puwedeng magpadala ulit siya ng panibagong grupo? Kung ganoon, puwedeng hindi nakaligtas sina Sam at Jonex?
No, it's impossible, Acey. They survived.
Pero bakit pa lilipat ng mapagtataguan?
"Sa tingin ninyo ayos lang silang dalawa?" Tiara asked, and her face turned white.
"Let's just pray that they are," I said. Alam kong pare-pareho lang kami ng nararamdaman ngayon, takot, at pag-aalala.
Halos isang taon ding hindi nakabalik ang grupo nila. Wala rin kaming balita dahil hindi pinapaalam sa amin ni Roland ng sitwasyon nila.
"So possible na isasama niya sa bagong grupo sina Zero at Geronimo?" Sham's conclusion made the rest of us stare at her as if she said something unacceptable.
"And Tito Chris," nabaling ang mga mata namin kay Wilson na tumitig sa akin pabalik.
